Uh I think he was referring to the fact that dialogue should be written like this;

"What are you muttering about?"

"I don't know. From the sound of it he's having trouble with dialogue."

"Grammatically speaking?"

"Duh."

"Hey don't give me any of your sass!"

"Sass! I'm Sassy! I'm supposed to have sass!"

"and I'm Javier!"

"No you don't say!"

"...I just did."

"Oh shut up."

"At least your trying to say something intelligent."

"Well its better than you've done in a hundred years!"

"We haven't been around a hundred years!"

"Irrelevant. You got what I meant."

You can leave out all the spaces in between though.
