Re: Chicago South Suburbs

I have never played pre-built armies nor have I played Armies that small... It would be something different, but I also like to build my own armies (usually around the 500 to 600 pt range).

Re: Review my Themed Armies

Thank you for the warm welcome back!

Unfortunately I don't have another set of Microcorp Agents. I thought the Agents were pretty over-powering for the original army with the Warden, but I...

Review my Themed Armies

Hello All,

It's been a while since I've been actively playing Heroscape and even longer since I've been on this forum. A few weeks ago I pulled out my Heroscape stuff and played with my 9...

Re: The Book of Otonashi

The couple of times that I used Otonashi I tried using her as a glyph grabber - which she was great at. The problem was that she was a less-than-steller glyph holder! "Anyone can grab a glyph,...

Re: iPod Touch -- anything better?

Have you looked into the Zune HD? It's MS version of the iPod Touch. I am not saying that this is better but it is another option.

Re: Wave 10: Why Re-release Anything, EVER???

I agree with Cavalier. I got into Heroscape late even though I do have most of the waves, BUT I did not understand the need for multiple commons and as such I only have 1 set of Knight, 1 set of...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping 2009-07-19

This is a pretty good idea. Raelin really didn't do much for me in either game (other than sitting on the Wound glyph, but rats are good glyph sitters as well).[/quote]

Considering that Raelin is...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping 2009-07-19 (Battle Reports)

Someone else asked a question about the MRT vs the Gladiators. In this battle the range of the MRT was not the problem, but rather the Venocs who frenzied on my at lesat 3 or 4 times! Also, the...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping 2009-07-19

Not sure about how Windy_City_Hawk's game went. Mine were just some wicked Arbalesting. Since Protectors can fly with a +1 move from Atlaga, it was pretty easy to always get height with at least one...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping 2009-07-19

Windy_City_Hawk would be the first to tell you that his play lost the game, not the army. He forgot to roll for the Circuitry Overload at least 4 or 5 times, and GuyGG was able to take his 3 wound Q9...

Re: The Book of the Capuan Gladiators

In a 600 pt game I think you would be better served by adding Crixus and Retarious instead of Taelord. With your army it is possible that you could get caught without Gladiator enhancement due to an...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping: 2009-07-19 (check 1st post)

I might give Tul-Bak-Ra another try. I've played him once so far with the Dividers successfully. I had 4 squads of Dividers with him but ended up only needing to use 2 squads (mostly because my D20...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping: 2009-07-19 (check 1st post)

Wow, seems like there will be a good mix of armies! I figured with the Wave 9 release that there would be Dwarves, Dividers, and Gladiators galor. Should be some great matchups.

Anyone plan...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping: 2009-07-19 (check 1st post)

All of your armies look pretty tough too Clarissimus! looking at your amies I am not sure what army I am planning to build matches well with yours. I really need to get off building armies based...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping: 2009-07-19 (check 1st post)

All of those armies are pretty good, and I am sure you are pretty good with them! I would love to go against the Knights/Nilf with the Gladiators, or maybe against your Deathreavers army with my...

Re: Chicagoland Heroscaping: 2009-07-19 (check 1st post)

I can't believe how anxious I am for this coming Sunday (7/19)! I've got about 6 armies that I am considering, and just can't wait to play!

Does everyone plan on bringing armies that include...

I agree. I also would need a map that is somewhat flat with not alot of water.

The maps that we will be using have been posted, and there are 2 likely maps (see below) that I will try this amry...

I actually thought about that exact same army as you wbdhoc! I think it is probably better than the army that I suggested, but I'm probably too stuck on theme here.

IMO the things that makes...
