Well I might be going to prison

Okay, a little bit about me. I am absolutely TERRIFIED of sharp, pointy, stabby objects. So, as a kid I hated getting shots. When I was 17, I donated blood to our school's blood drive. Try to face my fears by having a nurse stab me with a (in my head) gigantic needle. It buuuuuuurned going out. I still remember that pain. X.x I'm pretty sure it didn't work out so well.
So, because of the new health insurance crap my job is using, we all get to have health based things done to us. Things like cancer screens, diabetes, smoking, blah blah blah. And then I get told what I get to do.
"Through this process, you will be here to find out your BMI (Body Mass Index), Blood Pressure..."
Wait WHAT?
"Blood Pressure"
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I'm pretty sure snatching a syringe and using it as a deadly weapon is illegal, right?
Note: I probably won't go all nuts there. But expect my blood pressure to be through the roof. >.>

 Well, even if they use that armband thing, they're supposed to do disbetes testing, so I dont get out of the needle anyways.  And nah, I'm not going to jail for murder.  |

This is far more amusing than I had thought when reading the title of this blog.
 A fear like that is all mental - try closing your eyes and not looking at the needle. I donate blood whenever possible and only on my latest donation (number 4 or 5) did I actually choose to watch the needle poke me. It felt like it hurts a lot more when I was staring at it. I dunno if that will help at all, but it's better than nothing, right? |
