How to get out of a house with no doors or windows.

"Find a mirror and look into it. When you see what you saw, take that saw and cut something into two halves. Take those two halves to make a whole, and climb through that hole."

I found that little gag on facebook. That was a fun little joke.

So tomorrow evening I'll be on a vacation to Washington (the one with Seattle, not The President). That's going to be fun, since I'll be visiting with Love Elemental. I'll be there for just under a week, and we're already planning on spending a lot of time in her Air Conditioned house.

We don't have A/C here, or at least, it's not in the actual window. I was blasting the A/C in my van. It felt good, since an air conditioner is the only way to stave off humidity heat. Boy that's terrible.

I've also packed some good ol' Heroscape. Nothing too major, just an SotM, an RotV box with random terrain, and the RotV figures. I might have the Marvel Heroes in the box with the RotV guys too. That's going to be a bunch of fun to play with LE and maybe one or two of her nephews. I know she bought a little claw duck-dragon thing. It looks great, and from the pictures, it might be scape sized. Make that into a unique custom piece.

Meanwhile, I have a bunch of 'Scape-related work to get back to once I come back to the Smouldercore. With 7 unreleased custom waves to playtest, along with the other goodies, I have a bunch of playtesting to get to. Not to mention giving some more tests over to the C3V. They need all the help they can get.

A big part of effective testing (even for personal customs, who's balance are only affected by your home meta), is figuring out the figure's role in a game. Skuumelt, for example, is a Defender hero pretty much through and through. But since he can't really move, is he? Ne-Gok-Sa, otherwise known as the original Defender hero, is pretty much all around better than my silly Roper custom. And that figure is silly, but one may as use a figure they have rather than buy another one.

I can cut the cost of the figure, but why would I? He just has to be played in a special way, because otherwise you'd think the unit is lucky to be worth 70 points. Not that I'd be opposed to making him a bench warmer, since he literally is, but I want to see if I can't break him. A 5 Life, 5 Defense hero has got to have some uses. I considered using him to pod up. Maybe next time I'll try him with Nakitas and Gorillanators. Being able to sling figures right into Engagement Strike is probably cool.

Until next weekend!

I'm leaving... on a jet plane... don't know when I'll be back again...
