Character Bio - Legend has it he was kicked out of nursery school for aggravated assault and running a candy extortion racket. His childhood was a blur of junior correctional facilities, each one a vain effort to scare him straight. Instead, they made him tougher and cockier. It got so that even Tasmanian biker gangs kicked him out for being too nasty. He found a home with the Dreadnoks, Who disregarded his profound lack of hygiene in favor of his destructive talents. Ripper specializes in unorthodox edged weaponry, like the gas powered jaws of life he carries with him.

After taking a turn with Ripper, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 9 or higher, you may take a turn with any other figure you control with the Dreadnoks special power that has not taken a turn yet this player turn. If Ripper inflicted at least 1 wound during his turn, you may add 2 to the roll.

I wonder if it would play better if this design had a way to inflict a wound on the driver with the special attack and then Hijack was just if he ends his turn next to an unoccupied vehicle he can enter it. That seems less feel bad than full mindshackle like it is now.

I had the same initial thought as SW but wanted to think of a solution.

I tried to make it restrictive enough that it shouldn't happen easily or often and I'm hoping that Gundams can take these guys out before they can get adjacent.

I could go back to one of my earlier versions where it has to be a partial cover VDO. My only issue with that is there are so few partial cover VDOs in the game and I wanted it to counter the Army Tank.

Having that “Chewie taking over the AT-ST” moment seems really cool, just a question of if we can make it in a way that doesn’t feel bad. I like Tickle’s idea - maybe Jaws of Life affects the Driver as well when you attack a VDO? (Downside there is making him a VDO counterdraft.)

How about this? This should make it occur less and even if successful, that vehicle didn't have much life left in it anyway.

VEHICLE HI-JACK 9
After attacking with Ripper, if he used his special attack on an adjacent vehicle destructible object and that vehicle has no more than 2 Life remaining, you may roll the 20 sided die. If you roll 9 or higher, switch places of the current operator of that Vehicle Destructable Object and Ripper.

I think that's the issue I'm having already. He's a VDO counterdraft right now. If you put him in an army that doesn't happen to be facing a VDO or a Transformer, right now he's just a single bonding power and a single attack.

As a design philosophy, I think it's best to avoid cards where you only get use out of two thirds of the powers when you're in a very specific match up.

I really don't want this to be their main power, just something to show their gang colors. I think even with 3 figures with this power, you'd be lucky to pull it off just once in a game.
