INSIGHTFUL AVENGER
At the start of the game, place a white Avenger Marker on the card of a friendly Unique Hero. If you win initiative, for the remainder of the round after revealing an Order Marker on the card of a Hero you control that has an Avenger Marker on its card and taking a turn with only that Hero, you may take a turn with a Unique Hero that is a King or Visionary you control other than that figure, and you may not take any additional turns.

Black Panther may move through all figures and is never attacked when leaving an engagement. When a figure moves into engagement with Black Panther or a friendly figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Black Panther, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 14 or higher, that figure receives a wound.

VIBRANIUM FORCE BURST
If you roll a blank when defending with Black Panther, ignore all but 1 wound from the attack and, if the attacking figure is adjacent to him, move that figure up to 4 spaces in a straight line away from Black Panther, without taking any leaving engagement attacks.

You know my argument about including Kings. We already have a vestigial limb that includes them (the first design meant to include Illuminati stuff, Black Swan), it opens the synergy pool to fun past designs (like Namor I), and it doesn’t really require that many more words.

Not against including it if that's what the general consensus is. More or less just slipped my mind, really.

My only concern with the Kings thing is I'm not sure how the theme translates? Feels like a pure mechanical throw-in rather than something that follows from "Alert Avenger." We had a similar concern with Rick Jones' "X" reveal that had to be sorted out there.

I dig it. Cool interplay between the second and third powers that should make life tough for melee attackers. Vision (Avengers) can give him blanks to make the Vibranium more useful, right?

First power plays well with Cap (I) and Iron Man (Avengers), which is cool.

1st and 2nd powers are also great combos with Strange and the Illuminati designs in general.

Strange can use his Dimension Shift to force people to leave engagement, and now forcing them into engagement will also be useful.

Rick Jones likes to be engaged. Especially next to another Avenger.

Alright, this has been up for a couple days now. No real strong feedback on the King vs. just Visionary thing. Including Namor could be nice, but I do think there's room to just make a new Namor that's a Visionary anyway?

I know the callouts on Black Swan include King and Visionary, but is it really worth including King here just for Namor's sake? I suppose it brings in Black Bolt too, though he's a hard sell given his current version is very Inhuman oriented, thus may not make a good pairing, but it also opens up that door to Aquaman (I), Laufey, Solovar, Ocean Master, and Odin(unless we limit it to Unique) for turn bonding.

Still indifferent on it. I agree that I like how "Alert Avenger" mixed with Visionary seems to hit the same theme which is nice. King sorta throws that off.

We need a new version of Black Bolt and Namor to want to draw them in so I’m fine with just Visionary here.

I have no opinion there. I don't think it'll have a huge impact on gameplay - none of the current Kings are generalist champs.

I just continue to struggle to see Namor and Black Bolt as Visionaries as well. Feels like we’re really stretching the meaning of that word if we include them. (Including Aquaman and Solovar also counts as a fun positive to me, not a negative, fwiw.)

Not sure why this has to be the Illuminati Black Panther anyway, when it's already the Avenger Black Panther. Are Namor and Black Bolt acting as Illuminati in an Avengers setting? Are they doing both at once? If not, no issues with this having light Illuminati ties while being about Avengers proper.
