If you answered YES to any or ALL of these questions then you should join the North Eastern Scapers Association (NESA)

What is NESA? NESA is the North Eastern Scapers Association. Our purpose is to promote the game of Heroscape throughout our little piece of the world. We are not a league….we are a club…a network…a gang (but we rumble with little plastic figures)


How do I join NESA? You can sign up for NESA at any one of the events we are sponsoring. Just stop by the sign-up table and fill out a very short membership form. You can also sign up on our website but your membership will not be fully activated until you come to an event. (You must live in the governing area to apply for membership online.)


Does it cost anything to be a member? Membership is 100% free. We will however be running raffles throughout the year as well as pledge drives to get the funds we need to run NESA as well as purchase more stuff to give away including making charitable donations in the name of NESA to places like the Boys and Girls Club etc.


I am not that good a player, does that matter? Not at all. The main goal of NESA is to play Scape and have fun. You can do that right? Who knows you might be better than you think.


What do I get for being a member? Every member will receive a membership badge for the current season along with a lanyard so you can wear it proudly around your neck at any of our events, to GenCon or to the supermarket (if you really want to). Membership also entitles you to a free ticket for door prize drawings at all NESA endorsed tournaments. Members can also receive “awards” for obtaining certain objectives throughout the year in the form or pins and stickers to proudly display on your membership badge/lanyard. There will also be awards given out at season’s end.


Along with that there is also…


Free Stuff: Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the board and regular members of NESA there will be lots of chances for you to win Heroscape and Other merchandise throughout the year including a chance to get your hands on a GenCon exclusive just for joining.


Rideshare: Gas prices getting in the way of you getting your Heroscape fix in? Make a friend or two “along the way” and carpool to the events. You will save gas/money. Have company for the ride and best of all have locals to play with in between tournaments.

Trading/Buying Network: Live in a remote area? Can’t find Heroscaper products locally? Make a trade or find someone to help you out. You can also save on shipping by delivering it in person at a NESA event.

Discounts From Sponsors: Not all of our sponsors will provide discounts to our members but the more you let them know that you are a member the more they will contribute to the prize fund and it may even entice those that do not offer the discount to offer it.

Special Events: On top of being involved in the Tournament scene NESA aims to hold other events throughout the year. These days will be filled with tutorials, workshops and of course games of Scape. Haven’t had the chance to face off against someone in particular at a tournament? Maybe you can set up that grudge match at a NESA Day or get together to try a new game out. We are even working toward having our own Mini-Con for the North Eastern Area.

How do I get my tournament sponsored by NESA? When it comes to tournaments, NESA has very few requirements for us to sponsor them. Just ask and we will be happy to talk to you about sponsoring your event.

Are their rule requirements for the tournament to receive sponsorship? We want each tournament to be its own entity and give the TDs the freedom to run it under whichever rules they want. 500 points, 600 points, Marvel, No Marvel etc. It’s YOUR tournament after all.

What are the benefits of having my tournament sponsored by NESA? First and foremost you get advertising to a controlled target audience. All of our members may not be on Heroscapers.com so if you are running an event you already know that everyone in NESA is going to receive an invite. Secondly NESA will provide your event with door prizes that everyone has the same chance of winning regardless of how good a player you are that day. NESA will provide your event with a trophy to give to the winner.

We can also help you with map selection, tournament scorecards as well as TD guidance (a good number of the board members run tournaments) We can assist in set up and breakdown if needed. We do ask for a few small concessions and will be happy to discuss them with you but nothing we ask for will interfere with YOUR event.


But all of this is not possible without YOU. So we need you to sign up, get involved and most of all have fun.

NESA and it’s website run entirely on donations made by it’s members and is 100% non-profit. Every penny donated goes directly into the Association to offset operational costs and provide prizes and awards to its members.

We have alot of fun things planned and alot of stuff to give away to our members at the tournaments in our area starting with the Beantown Beatdown including Wave 8/8.5 stuff that you could win just for showing up and playing in the event regardless of where you finish.
