Sir Gilbert - Flagbearer - Crest of the Valkyrie
Wow, great guy. Awesome sculpt, awesome flag, awesome abilities. Finally I will use my knights, in fact, I will go out and buy more! In this discussion i'd like to discuss all the sweet strategies one could use Gir Giblit in.
For example: Put an order marker on the knights, but before taking a turn with them take a turn with gilbert. As soon as gilbert takes his turn u can trigger his ability and move 4 knights x spaces. Then after that u may take a turn with the knights and kick some utgar booty. Sweet stuff! Now, if only jandar had some range that could move and shoot bonding like the orcs then we'd be in business. perhaps moving the 4th mass in gilbert's turn then next order marker use 4th, it would allow them to get into position, then not have to move and just stand and fire. I love it, I finally will use the knights!

I just said this in the flagbearer rules discussion thread but I will say it again.
Gilbert just got alot better. I shudder at the MassFlag armies that will be produced. An all valiant army containg Mass 2x, Gilbert and some knights. That is a thing to fear.

It's probably best to use Gilbert to get the Knights engaged and fighting first. His ability should get them a move of 6 or so minimum. Then, while the Knights do battle in melee, you can use Gilbert to move your 4th Mass into position to open fire.

What would be another good unit to use along with the knights/4th/Gilbert combo.
Im thinking a hero of some type for some extra dmg/life. I think staying Valiant is a good idea as the 4th then get an extra shield to stay alive.

Drake is valiant so he could work. Concan also fits your criteria and boosts the knights.

Thorgrim is Valiant as well and gives you another Bonding target with the knights, plus he can make Gilbert Grape even stronger.
