For flaws, I'm going to interpret them so they have maximum dramatic impact. Is your friend a loved one? Probably. Is any tile floor close enough to linoleum? Probably.

We still need a name for the group! (And determine between US Express and Ever-Loving Rockstar for the leader!)

Ever-Loving Rockstar strikes me as kind of a "Hal Jordan in JLA Year One" guy. He might think of himself as the leader, but not everyone in the group would agree.

We're just temps, as a story begins. I don't imagine we'd have a group name, yet, though I think one might come to us, if we work together for awhile and encounter the right inspiration. For that matter, I think the identity of a leader will emerge the same way.

Do we need to pick a leader now, Q? What would that person's role be?

US Express seems like he should be the leader. His character has pedigree, taking over for a past US Express and he has military background where giving taking orders is the norm. Also the rest of us seem more like rank and file characters.

Well, except that I read his background as "foot soldier" also. A very special foot soldier, but not a general. I don't think there's an obvious leader here, though I remain interested in finding out why we need one, and what that role means.

Mostly I just want a leader to make it easier for me. So I'm not herding cats or whatever chaotic analogy you want to use. So when I present a situation, the leader will help everyone agree what to do so I don't have to ask everyone "Are you sure that's what you want to do?"

Does that make sense?

Sure, that's fine. But that's not the same as the group face. I think a sort of spokesman for you is not the same thing as the guy who is necessarily negotiating for the release of a hostage.

I think Everloving Rock Star would be excellent in that role, because Bats is a constant presence on the board, and he's nice, and I trust him to moderate and sense when a conversation is petering out, and he knows the genre and the tropes, and in a pinch he can be the face because, as you noted, ERS has the Charisma. So I'd like Bats to be our spokesman for you, Q.
