vs Fantastic Four (1000)
Unit Summary: Colossus’ stats were solid enough. Fastball Special felt lackluster here. It wasn’t really worth trying to plan around because you were mostly having to give up moving Colossus into range to attack to do it and then the figure he was throwing wouldn’t hit as hard as he would. Colossus did some solid damage but this was close and winnable by either side until the resurrections steamrolled the end game.
Game Summary

Jason and Death Army move up quickly while Blob gets the early activations and locks down Invisible Woman. Torch can’t hit Blob, but Thing chucks a tree into him for one wound. Mister Fantastic puts a wound on Jason. Colossus enters the action at end of round and sets up for a Fastball Special next round. Blob punches Invisible Woman for 2 wounds. A Death Army engages Mister Fantastic but misses the damage die. Mister Fantastic stays put and punches Jason for 2 wounds. Blob can’t hit Invisible Woman, but a Death Army figure does, for her third wound. Mister Fantastic fails his second straight leadership roll and fails to hit a Death Army from height. Colossus tosses a Death Army figure at Mister Fantastic. It does nothing. A Death Army does a fourth wound on Invisible Woman with a damage die. Human Torch takes 1 swipe and Flames On Jason and a Death Army, then goes Supernova and puts 3 wounds on Blob and takes out a second Death Army. Mister Fantastic chucks a tree into Blob to finish him. A Death Army figure comes back. A Death Army fails a damage die on Mister Fantastic. Thing puts down Jason for now. Jason had OM1, in a plan to finish Invisible Woman. Thing and Human Torch both punch out Death Army figures. Colossus rushes forward and punches out Invisible Woman. Thing and Human Torch both punch down on Colossus. Human Torch hits for 2 wounds, so Mister Fantastic just moves away and takes height. A Death Army comes back. Jason comes back. Thing punches Colossus for 3 wounds, but Colossus shrugs off one of them. Human Torch isn’t fast enough to get to a different target so he stays put. Mister Fantastic fails an attack on the last Death Army figure. Colossus takes a swipe climbing to even height and punches Torch for 3 wounds. Mister Fantastic botches everything and Colossus finishes Torch off. The rest of the round is futility other than Jason engaging Thing. A Death Army comes back. Colossus punches Thing for 3 wounds. A Death Army hits Mister Fantastic with an unblockable. Thing punches out Colossus. Jason cuts Mister Fantastic down to 2 life. A Death Army can’t hit Mister Fantastic. Thing punches Jason for 5 wounds. Mister Fantastic can’t hit a Death Army figure. It feels very winnable until the third Death Army comes back and Jason comes back a second straight time and then the Death Army KO Mister Fantastic and get two damage dice on Thing before Jason catches Thing whiffing for the win.

Batman advances. Cyclops advances and misses a shot on the obstructed Dark Knight. X-23 moves up instead of Wolverin’s attack phase. Colossus moves up. Wonder Woman advances and sails a Large Evergreen at the Great Evergreen, destroying both trees and inflicting single wounds on X-23, Colossus, and Cyclops. Cyclops can’t hit obscured Batman from height. X-23 moves up next to Cyclops instead of Colossus’s attack, and heals her wound. Wolverine moves up next to Colossus. Superman can’t hit the Great Evergreen, but uses his first Justice Marker. Wonder Woman smacks Colossus for 1 wound from height. Batman hits Colossus with an auto wound and Cyclops with 2 wounds from his batarang’s attack. Wonder Woman uses a Justice Marker. Batman uses a Justice Marker to steal initiative. Superman punches out Cyclops from height disadvantage. Colossus takes 2 wounds from Wonder Woman, who attacks from height. Batman can’t hit anything. Colossus throws Wolverine at Superman. Wolverine attacks Superman three times for two wounds and heals himself back to three life. Superman punches Wolveriner back for one wound. Wolverine slashes Superman for three wounds and heals himself back to three life. Superman punches Wolverine out.

Unit Summary: I would love to see someone try him with a Professor X/Angel/Wolverine build in group testing. I think that might be a good way to get him moved up without him having to walk, then getting the Fastball/Attack combo going on the same turn. It mostly seemed like either/or in this build. Though it was pretty brutal getting a Fastball Special attack activation with Wolverine and then Cyclops activating Wolverine for another attack phase right away. That and the initiative swing right before it probably swung the game.

Game Summary

Initiative Avengers. Cap moves them up a bit. War Machine moves up. Iron Man takes the water in the middle of the fountain and double attacks a Great Evergreen for one wound. Cap moves up and fails to finish the Great Evergreen. Colossus advances and fails to finish the wounded tree. War-Machine flies over the wounded tree and sends it falling down on the entire enemy team. He then throws a large tree at Colossus but rolls poorly and Colossus blocks and the tree survives. Quicksilver advances. Cyclops advances and fails an attack. Wolverine’s attack phase goes for X-23 to advance and heal. Colossus’ move phase goes for Fastball Special, which wounds Cyclops and places him next to Cap on height. Cyclops uses his once per game special but only gets 2 hits. Cap takes 1 wound and Quicksilve blocks. Iron Man double attacks Cyclops from even height, but can’t hit. X-23 takes Colossus’ attack phase and moves up and slashes War Machine for 1 wound. Wolverine moves up next to Colossus.
Cyclops swings initiative next round with his X. Cyclops blasts Cap for 1 wound, then Colossus tosses Wolvie onto height and Wolvies attacks down three times on War Machine. The third would defeat him, but Quicksilver saves him and takes 2 wounds in the process. Then Cyclops has Wolverine use an attack phase and Wolverine double attacks. He would defeat War Machine again, but instead Quicksilver takes 1 wound and dishes out 1 wound. Wolverine then puts War Machine down to 1 life. By the end, Wolverine has healed 2 wounds as well. Quicksilver runs through everyone for his once per game ability and wounds both X-23 and Colossus. War Machine blasts X-23 hard and finishes her off. Colossus takes a swipe from Quicksilver and fails to hit War Machine. Cap and Iron Man both attack Cyclops, but can only get him down to 1 Life. Colossus tries to KO War Machine so he can throw Wolverine again, but Quicksilver saves him. Iron Man finishes off Cyclops. Wolvie heals.
X-Men get initiative and Wolverine takes a swipe and double attacks to finish Quicksilver and War Machine and then heal to full. Cap and Iron Man attack Wolvie from height but can’t hit. Colossus uses Fastball Special to launch Wolverine and he double attacks Iron Man from height disadvantage for 3 wounds, then heals to full. Iron Man double attacks Wolvie from height but can only get 1 wound, sealing his fate.
Cap runs with initiative. Colossus goes first, using the road, and tosses a tree at Cap, for three wounds. Cap fires his shield on the way out to get one wound on Colossus.

UNIT SUMMARY: He’s tough to maximize and easier to kill overall than 1.0, but he can stick around for sure, can do damage when his dice get hot, and his best combination is clearly Wolverine, which is good to see.

So Durability power didn't seem to do much here it seems.only once in the three game he would have taken more than 2 wounds and he used it to shrug off 1?

Not understanding what you meant by this in the first test...

Not understanding what you meant by this in the first test...

I mean that the opponent had attacks they could use that they made against his allies instead of Colossus, because Colossus had already taken 2 wounds that turn. I think it's largely an ability where you just won't be attacked more on certain turns rather than avoiding terribly many wounds.

So it *does* help his survivability (you can't just nuke him in a turn) but that's not going to show up in a ton of avoided wounds unless your opponent just likes banging their head against a brick wall.
