They need to hurry up on The Expanse. I started reading the series after watching the first season. I just got started on book three.

Excellent! I'll put Season 2 of Dark Matter on my list. I really enjoyed Season 1. I've been watching Preacher and, more recently, Constantine. I missed it the first time around. It sure feels like the comics I read 25+ years ago. . .

Haven't started the show yet but I've finished the first 5 books. My wife just started the first one so we'll probably watch it soon.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

The trailer looks sweet so I will give it a shot. I really like The Ranch so I'm hoping that Stranger Things will be good as well. Plus, as an old fart, I can relate to the 80's setting that it takes place in.

Yup. I've watched the first 3 or 4 episodes. I'll get back to it when I'm finished with Constantine. I don't watch much tv, normally, so these things can take a while.

I've been watching Preacher, not sure why the graphic novel gets to much hype. Not disliking the show at all, but not super excited to see the next episode or especially captivated by the characters or story line yet. Maybe it is just developing slowly on purpose. I'll keep watching, it does look like it starting to pick up.

Done. Anyone who thinks they might be interested in Stranger Things will probably really enjoy it. Not perfect, but a lot of fun, and the chemistry of the cast is wonderful.

I ended up checking it out this past weekend and ended up watching the whole thing over a few days. It was pretty entertaining and I enjoyed it for what it was. An old 80's style kids sci-fi adventure. I thought it was much better than most of the stuff the networks make these days. Not sure how it happened but Netflix has become better at making TV shows than the professionals.
