Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
NAME = CHUCKY
SECRET IDENTITY = CHARLES LEE RAY SPECIES = DOLL UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = SLASHER PERSONALITY = INSANE SIZE/HEIGHT = SMALL 3 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 4 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 2 POINTS = 85 BARBIE MODE After moving a figure you control that started its movement adjacent to Chucky, you may place Chucky on any empty space adjacent to that figure. Chucky is never attacked when leaving engagements. If Chucky has not attacked or inflicted a wound on an enemy figure yet this game, and is not the only figure you control on the battlefield, he cannot be targeted by an enemy figure for attacks or special powers and does not prevent figures engaged with him from attacking non-adjacent figures. CHILD'S PLAY After Chucky or an adjacent figure you control attacks a figure adjacent to Chucky and does not destroy it, you must roll the 20-sided die. Add 3 to the roll if the attacking figure is a Slasher or Tormentor. If you roll 6 or lower, the attacking figure receives a wound. If you roll 16 or higher, the defending figure receives a wound. PLAY DEAD If Chucky would be destroyed by receiving 2 or more wounds, he instead receives 1 wound and is considered in Barbie Mode for the remainder of this player turn. Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
Comic:
Spoiler Alert!
Background: Figure Tutorial: You need the Doctor Psycho heroclix and a Catman heroclix that comes with the knives in his hands. Start with the Doctor Psycho heroclix. Remove the purple disc from his back: Paint his blue overalls: Paint his lighter blue shirt: Paint his dark red shoes with the white soles and stripes: Paint his shirt stripes red, pink, green, and blue, as well as some lighter blue on the cuffs of his pants with some similar stripes: Build up some blue paint on his overalls to fill in any seems or edges the suit had to try and make it look like one piece of clothing: Add some white stitches for the pocket and along the edges, some red buttons, some red writing on the pocket, and some random colored short lines all over his overalls: Cut his hair a bit to be a little flatter on the sides and not stick up so much. Also cut away some of the hair to expose the scalp along the receding hairline and sides. Then paint a brownish orange. Then flesh colored over the exposed scalp and the eyebrows. Paint light blue over the black eyes. Paint Chucky’s scars on his face with a dark red. Cut off one of the knives from the Catman heroclix(save the Catman figure with the other knife to use for Michael Myers) and glue it on Chucky’s hand. Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
I'm guessing 75 will end up being a tad high. Even with his defensive powers, he'll fold fast with those stats. He feels more like Atom (Ray Palmer) right now than something stronger.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

The current write-up is 150+ points, I'd say. Ragdoll with more durability and auto-wounds.

Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
Looking good. Not sure on theme here, but do you think he should have to roll an unblockable die against friendlies he's adjacent to at the end of the round as well as opponent's? Thinking about ways Clingy could be abused here when combined with his range immunity.
Like Superheroes and Comics?

Ragdoll also has 1 better attack, though I know that's not that relevant as you get these guys for Order Marker efficiency. I think with a much slower base move, though, Chucky has a longer set up time and higher pay off than Ragdoll. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
I’ll probably power move to 4. Forgot to do that before.
I’m still not exactly dead set on Clingy here, fwiw. I’d be happy to swap it in favor of a carry. So he matches onto teammates going into battle and taking swipes at the end of the round if he’s engaged. Definitely not looking to hit 150+. I want him to be a pest in the 65-85 range preferably for variety sake. Keep in mind he’s still vulnerable to adjacent specials and special attacks bypassing his specials. With a defense of 2 and life of 5 he will go quick to anyone with a half decent special attack. |

Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
What about something like this where we limit Clingy to friendlies only, as if Chucky is holding onto them or they are holding onto him. Then Unassuming Threat uses the same approach as Groot’s Too Adorable To Kill, essentially requiring another threat around to keep the heat off Chucky.
I figure this would tandem well with Jason and Michael etc. as they receive free movement. Chucky tags along and takes swipes at enemies at the end of the round. When Chucky is alone, he has Laugh It Off to hopefully keep him around long enough for backup to arrive to take the heat off of him. Quote:

Re: The Book of Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) (Breathing)
Silver Samurai is his worse match-up, 3 SA attacks of 3 vs. 0 def. dice should take him out in 1OM.
I'm still thinking I'd like to see him unable to be attacked at all until he reveals he isn't just a doll by actually stabbing someone for 1W. Then you know you're getting at least 1W in damage out of your points investment before he dies. I can see the current write up getting taken out before he gets to roll his second unblockable die with all the multiple attack options out there. Then his entire value become just absorbing some attacks that might have been directed at someone else, how much is that worth? Not over 100 points. Anyways, here is how I was thinking it could work: UNASSUMING THREAT Chucky can move through all figures, is never attacked when leaving an engagement, and cannot be targeted for any attacks or special powers until he has inflicted at least 1W. If Chucky is engaged with a figure and can not be targeted, he does not prevent that figure from targeting a non-adjacent figure. At the end of the round, if Chucky is engaged with one or more figures, you must roll an unblockable attack die against one of the figures. |

Just saw your last post Arkham, that could work too.

Quote:
SP version of Chucky does have a weakness to adjacent special attacks, but otherwise Laugh It Off makes him a lot harder to kill than Ragdoll and Unassuming Threat makes him immune to a lot of special powers. His auto-wound power isn't crazy-good or anything, but the fact that it's there at all and gives him another thing to do for free without OMs is nice. I think the updates Arkham outlined are a good way to rein him in a little, though. |
