Important Information
Figures that are not part of the worlds of DC or Marvel do not have Identities. Rather, they have a faction or country below their name to which they belong. These work the same as the factions of classic Heroscape.
Onsome of the Star Wars cards, you may come across some unknown symbols. Below is an explaination of these symbols, directly credited to the Heroes of Star Wars Scape project.

The Force Sensitive Symbol has no powers attached to the symbol and simply shows that the figure is Force Sensitive. We added this ability so we can referece all figures with the Force.

The Force Leap Symbol was added because most Jedi and Sith have the ability to Force Jump and we didn't want to bog down most of the cards with this one power. Thus, the power was converted into a symbol. Here is the reference:

Force Leap
Instead of a normal move, you may Force Leap. Force Leap has a move of 3. When counting spaces for Force Leap movement, ignore elevations. You may Force Leap over water without stopping, Force Leap over figures without becoming engaged, and Force Leap over obstacles such as ruins. You may not Force Leap more than 25 levels up or down in a single Force Leap. If you are engaged when you start to Force Leap, you will take any leaving engagement attacks.

Stay tuned for more additions to Scapemage's Universe!

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Arkillo, The Top

One thing you might want to consider. Figures that go through your CMD process, you should refrain from having posted here. I believe you're looking to have CMD be a community project. Thus, they should be cards that belong to CMD and not Scapemage.

On to Arkillo,

This is the first Arkillo custom. That's always a good thing. It's nice to see customs for figures that haven't been done, yet. I don't really know Arkillo, so take all my suggestions with a grain of salt.

Rage Smash 5 might be a thematic ability, but should he be equally as strong as Hulk? Maybe Rage Smash 2 or 3?

Stomp Special Attack is pretty straight forward.

Frenzy is another ability that is already a standard.

Doesn't Arkillo fly?

If Arkillo can fly, I think he's probably worth at least 400 points. What Hulk gains in 2 life, Arkillo gains in Flying and Frenzy.

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Arkillo, The Top

FWIW, Arkillo has a Yellow Power Ring. While you did a great job making him a modified Hulk, which he sorta is (without his ring); don't you think maybe he should have some sorta ranged ability considering he is a member of the Sinestro Corps? Just my

EDIT: Oh and he definately flies!

ok, thanks. I'll take out Heat Wave because he's finished. The rest of em are cards that will go through development and have chanes made. I'll just keep these drafts in this thread and won't update them.

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Arkillo, The Top

Okay. Yellow Power Ring needs some work. First, it's two bulleted abilities rolled into 1 power. Second, a few of the powers don't really make too much sense. Attack with an attack of 7 isn't necessary due to Rage Smash 3. Attack immediately after defending doesn't happen in Heroscape because it creates loops. Here's my suggestion that would use most of your concepts.

Rage Smash 3 - same

Yellow Power Ring Special Attack
Range 5. Attack 4.
When Arkillo attacks with his Yellow Power Ring Special Attack, he may attack 1 additional time.
(This incorporates two of your ability choices into one manageable Special Attack)

Defensive Bubble (Or any name you want)
When Arkillo rolls defense dice against an attacking figure, you may add 1 automatic shield to whatever is rolled. You may only use Defensive Bubble once per round.
(This incorporates your idea of additional defense once per round, but gives it a bit more of a punch)

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Arkillo, The Top

Great changes Scapemage! Initial idea for Yellow Power Ring is very thematic as far as multiple options, but I agree with Balantai that it needs some tweaking. I like his new combo of Rage Smash 3 and Yellow Power Ring. For the last one I would like to suggest the following power (which because Yellow represents Fear kinda steals from Imposing Presence).

Fearsome Defensive Aura
When rolling defense, Arkillo may choose to have his attacker subtract one from his attack for the rest of the round. Arkillo may only use Fearsome Defensive Aura once per round.

Changing "you" to "Arkillo" allows you to put this on the cards of other Yellow Lanterns/Sinestro Corps members.

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Arkillo, The Top

Yellow Power Ring is still two seperate abilities forced into one Special Power. This really isn't how official cards handle things. I still think it makes more sense to split it into a Special Attack and a defensive power.

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Grundy, Thinker, A. Wa

There is absolutely no way that Amanda Waller should end up costing over 100 points. In heroclix, and I know this doesn't translate well to heroscape, amanda waller was a pog, essentially meaning she could only take 1 damage.

The first thing I'd do is drop her attack down to maybe a 3. For some reason, pistols usually don't do a huge amount of damage in scape.

It doesn't make much sense to me that Dash works with friendly figures. Usually, unless the friendly figure would be pushing her, being adjacent to a friendly figure doesn't help at all. Amanda Waller usually isn't a head first person, and she usually doesn't rely on others unless the "others" are henchman.

Engagement strike seems a little unfair, don't you think? This means to me that squad figures have a 35% chance of getting killed the moment they walk next to her on the spot. In fact, I'm not really sure how it relates to Amanda Waller. I could be wrong, because I don't know much about her comic wise. In fact, the only reason I know who she is is because of Heroclix and Justice League Unlimited. So I'll admit that I could be flat-out wrong.

Stealth-Dodge seems moderately accurate.

Re: Scapemage921's Comic Customs NEW! Grundy, Thinker, A. Wa

Thinker
This is probably my favorite of these three. I don't know much about the character, but the powerset seems pretty fun. Is there a reason that his teleport allows for engagement strikes? Is it a slow teleport? Usually, a teleport type ability would allow for disengagement.

Amanda Waller
You definitely made Amanda Waller a toughy. Maybe too tough for my tastes, but that's completely up to you. I don't see any problems with the abilities. They're all pretty straightforward. Good job.

Solomon Grundy
I like your powerset again. I would make a couple changes, though. Bullet Imperviousness makes him broken when played against those types of figures. That's not really something Heroscape does. Gameplay trumps theme in many aspects of the game. I would change it to: Solomon Grundy does not receive any wounds when defending against a non-adjacent attack from Soulborgs, Agents, etc. This way, you still have your bullet theme, but they still have a chance if they get up close to Grundy. Which they won't want to do. Also, I think with his current set of powers, I'd put him up closer to 400 points. Born on a Monday is a really powerful ability. If you won't want Grundy that high, you could reduce his attack a bit. He'll still be rolling a ton of attack dice due to Blood Frenzy.

Great work on these customs. Keep them coming.
