That is not much better Bats.

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
Well, there's some others on there I haven't seen.
And, honestly, it's probably close with Iron Man 3. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
Dredd's a top-middle tier for me. Incredibles shoulda been on my list, easily a top-top tier if not the absolute #1.

You are good people Aldin!
Side note: Flash has a great soundtrack but is slightly edged out by Highlander. "Who wants to live forever?" A cloud can change its semblance, yet retain its will With the intimacy of destruction, One knows what it is to be alive The empty sky holds no reflection, for sorrow - Eslo Rudkey |

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
I really enjoyed Ant-Man. I had higher expectations going in for Avengers: Age of ULTRON and ended up feeling like they missed a lot of opportunities to do something special.

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
What, no love for... Flash Gordon? With the best soundtrack in the history of ever?
Also, my version of Moore's Law: do not see any adaptation of an Alan Moore book if you have read it first. |

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
Guardians of the Galaxy had a pretty good sound track but I guess if you are a Queen fan you'd pick Flash Gordon.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
I read Watchmen first, but I still really enjoy the movie. I think it's really underrated.

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
Loved Flash Gordon. I don't really categorize him as a superhero though. I've got him with Kimball Kinneson and Buck Rogers as a pulp sci-fi hero. I will admit the line between the two is a bit thin

Too bad they cut out Tales of the Black Freighter.

Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
Alright, Top Twenty, Live Action only:
The top five could have been in any order as I see them as nearly flawless films adapting comic books; I based them solely on the lead actor to differentiate. The rest all had an inherent flaw, but were very watchable and enjoyable. Somewhere in there they become less so.
Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. Re: Rank Your Favorite Superhero Movies!
Quote:
I thought that, given the generation-skip approach to the Ant-Men with Hank as a retired mentor figure, using a form of Yellowjacket as the villain was actually a very clever move. Combining that with the not-much-to-work-with Darren Cross character felt like a smart way to amalgamate a couple of villains into something new that fit the movie (though I agree that the end result could have been stronger). |
