R1: Team Flash Barry (who I will call Barry-TF) carries Iris up to reveal the X, then bonds with Barry-1. Raven flies up and puts 2 wounds on Barry-TF. Barry-1 fails and Thawne moves up. Changeling wounds Thawne and Raven puts a third wound on Barry-TF. Barry-1 puts 3 wounds on Starfire while Thawne puts 3 wounds on Nightwing.

R2: In a crucial initiative roll (that ends up not being so crucial at all), Team Flash wins. Barry-TF carries Iris up to reveal her X and puts a wound on Raven with his normal attack. Thawne attacks Nightwing twice, but Nightwing dodges both blows. Titans Go activates: Starfire takes a leaving engagement wound to kill Reverse-Flash, Changeling kills Barry-TF and wounds Iris, and Nightwing foolishly tries to kill Iris and gets killed by Flash-1 due to Speed Beacon. Barry-1 kills Starfire. Raven wounds Barry-1. Flash-1 puts 2 wounds on Raven and Changeling kills Iris.

R3: Flash kills Raven but is felled by the other Titans.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Changeling (0 wounds) and Arrowette (unused) win.

Barry was useful for carrying Iris here, but died quickly. Didn’t use his Lightning throw as every time I activated him, I carried Iris.

R1: Flash carries Black Canary up. Sinestro and Grodd move up. Canary socks Sinestro, then Barry throws lightning at Sinestro but misses. Cheetah and Sinestro team up to kill Black Canary. Green Arrow puts a third wound on Sinestro.

R2: Flash kills Sinestro with a lightning throw. Grodd puts a wound on Flash. Flash puts 2 wounds on Grodd then Green Arrow puts a third wound on the ape. Wonder Woman brings Grodd to 5 wounds. Cheetah puts a second wound on Flash.

R3: Wonder Woman kills Grodd. Cheetah kills Flash. Wonder Woman puts 2 wounds on Cheetah. Cheetah puts 4 wounds on Wonder Woman.

R4: Wonder Woman puts a third wound on Cheetah. Cheetah kills Wonder Woman and wounds Green Arrow.

R5: Cheetah puts a second wound on Green Arrow before being taken out.

R6: Lex and Green Arrow face off, and Lex barely edges out a victory.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I like him, this Flash feels different than the rest of the speedsters thanks to his carry and ranged attack. Speed Carry is a great support ability and is especially useful alongside Iris or his JL friends.

Lightning Throw is trickier to use due to the unengaged requirement and the dice subtraction for each space he moves. But when it works, it’s a very strong attack.

Two losses here, but I feel like there was a huge missed opportunity for a Nightwing kill in game 1 that would have majorly changed the course of the game. And game 2 was super close, so I feel like 260 is pretty close. Flash is pretty fragile for his point cost, so I could see him coming down a little based on that.

Unfortunate rolls for the Justice League here. Plastic Man fell fast, and from there it was just poor roll after poor roll for a while. They also lost every initiative beyond the first. Canary and Green Arrow carried most of the weight, but Flash's Speed Carry was nice early on. Still managed to keep it pretty close. Had the dice rolls been more even, I think he's feeling pretty balanced.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
Didn't do so hot with him in this game, some unfortunate botches crippled his team's momentum. Felt like he could come down 10-20 points. However, when playing against him when Archie ran him with Team Flash, he performed much better and seemed good at 260.

Barry carries Iris up, activating the X so he can bond with any other Metahuman. Meanwhile Luke and his allies advance. Kid Flash gets an early 3 wounds on Luke thanks to a whiff, but Iron Fist’s healing helps keep Luke alive. Iron Fist takes out Jay Garrick in a single blow. Barry does one really nifty trick with Iris - he places her as a shield blocking Luke, so Luke attacks Iris, activating Speed Beacon, so Barry carries Iris away and Luke is left without a target.

Later, there’s a double whammy where Impulse takes out Luke Cage and Barry’s Lightning deals a few wounds to Iron Fist, killing him as well!

Moon Knight whittles away at Barry until Moon Knight falls, then Daredevil finishes off Barry. Daredevil and Kid Flash duke it out, and Kid Flash activates Daredevil’s go the distance. Daredevil then kills Kid Flash and kills Iris on OM3 for the win.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Couldn’t be a closer game if we tried. Barry definitely works better in his Team Flash faction (though he’s still plenty usable in the JL faction), and he’s a natural pairing with Iris. Super fun design and feels balanced. Could safely go down to 250 in JL builds, but he works well at 260 in Team Flash stuff and that seems like a good point total for army building purposes.

2-2 in initial and 0-4 in public tests, but two of those losses were sooooo close they could've gone either way (down to a single life by the winner) and his teams fit best with him at 260 points. Also with other Barry at 250, I'd prefer to keep a different number here.

I'm really digging how he plays and his synergies, so I'm not worried about him feeling playable as is, he might just not be dominant (again, fine). So I'm proposing we move to Final Editing.
