Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
Why are the markers ever on his card? If he has an unlimited amount and they only matter when placed on the glyphs, he doesn’t need to start with any or ever put them on his card.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
Greatest Thief does push him toward 'stealing' from allies pretty hard - I think he's gonna have a lot of relevance as an MD figure that can net you a second copy of any glyph power.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
I mean, even if he could only do the 'steal' bit from an enemy, I'm still probably spending a couple turns in the first round passing glyphs around to get him to copy stuff. That'll at least make it less efficient though, yeah.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
I think I tightened up the wording for Greatest Thief. I definitely planned to test him with figures that start with powerful Glyphs to see how that goes.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
Actually thinking about it more, since it works as though he were equipped with the Glyph, you would just destroy the Glyph on the other figure's card or on the battlefield if he lost it. Which is a tad wonky, but also generally not worth it to put a marker on one of those Glyphs and pass it to someone else so it shouldn't really be an issue.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
Yeah I agree with that interpretation. If we really wanted to stop it, we could always just include a line saying he can't destroy Glyphs.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
I just don't see it as problematic mechanically. Just slightly weird thematically and not good strategically. So I'm not worried about it.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
When you are placing one of his markers is it meant to be from his card or can it be one he already placed elsewhere?
If it’s the latter, no reason for the markers to be placed on his card except to help Zatanna I, I guess. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Dack Fayden - Design
Are there any Artifact glyphs that stack at all or are problematic combinations?
