Across the mountains, through the ice and snow, a treasure awaited. And what dwarf can resist treasure? Especially treasure that might win freedom for their brethren. But, treasure is rarely left unguarded. Finding their way to the cave, the searching band was met by powerful magick, greedy magick. A magick that did not wish to share its hoard. Jandar plucked them away before they could be frozen for all eternity, but not before the magick had altered the dwarves forever...

Far too hard to track.. almost as hard to catch. Loathsome curs. Nerak wanted one, couldn’t tame the beast. Tried twice.. nearly killed him twice. They act with a cruel barbarism worse than the gruts at times, difficult to believe that they’re mere “animals”.

Kanaspi Wendigo

In the cold and frozen north, in times of famine and starvation, the Wendigoag stalk their prey. They were human - once - though whether any of them still remember their former selves is highly debatable. The curse of the Wendigo is likely to come upon any who engage in cannibalism, or who display particularly avaricious tendencies, to the detriment of their environment and community. The Wendigo is the spirit of excess, of selfishness, of prioritising your own wants over another’s needs; as well as the spirit of famine and hunger, of those desperate and starving enough to devour their own kind. They roam the land, preying on any they come across, hunting with a low, animalistic cunning, always searching for their next meal.
It is said that when a Wendigo devours someone, they grow in size, power and strength in proportion with their meal - but, in doing so, they can never be sated, for their capacity for food grows too, each time they feed; no matter how much they eat, it can never satisfy them. Colossal, yet emaciated; always feeding, yet always starving; drowning in excess, yet compelled always to seek more - this feral creature is one you do not want to encounter on a dark night, lest it marks you as its next meal.

Kanaspi is an anagram for Naskapi, one of the Native American tribes among whom tales of the Wendigo were told.
The Kanaspi Wendigo is single-spaced.

Snow Crawler

The winter wastelands of Valhalla are full of deadly natural hazards, not the least of which is the organic landmine known as the Snow Crawler. Nearly impossible to see in their preferred habitat, these deadly predators wait for prey to draw near before gripping them down and swarming into a mad frenzy. Invading armies must resort to blind artillery or search and destroy to weed them out. Either that or simply go around the tundras.
