Can’t speak for everyone, but I never wanted to force a JL Canary to double as a BoP Canary. Just felt like the previous one was so close to being able to function as one that it would be a cool little thing. (Kinda like how Supergirl can be a JL version, but that’s secondary to her main goal of being a Superman Family version.) Sorry if I gave the wrong impression.

If we were to go more reactionary with it, I’d probably do something like this:

If a Unique Hero you control within clear sight of Black Canary is destroyed, roll the 20-sided die. Add the destroyed Unique Hero’s Life Number to your roll. If you roll 17 or higher, choose 3 spaces in a straight line from Black Canary. All enemy figures on or within 1 space of the chosen spaces receive 2 wounds, and you may remove 1 unrevealed Order Marker at random from each of their Army Cards.

I like the mechanics. I always struggle with conversational power titles. Just a personal aesthetic thing.

They just come off as try-to hard Heroclixy titles to me (not just yours, any conversational ones). Are there any conversational power titles in the official game (Valhalla or Marvel)?

You care more about classic than I do. That’s not up for debate. Never actually played heroclix, but it sounds like they have some nice flavorful titles.

Ok, I'm thinking of just going without the d20 boost for this approach, and instead just lowering the required roll. Triggering off a death should sell the theme enough.

As for classes, we could do Archer, Champion, Protector, and Warrior. Seem to all fit in the fighting type theme for her.

Not seeing how she can shape her scream around friends. It should just be all figures on that line. 2W + an OM loss is fairly significant too, I'd rather see it hit more often at a lower 1W impact.

She’s a leader figure on the front lines with 4 life and 5 defense with no defensive specials. She’s lucky if any of her allies die before her in order for it to trigger at all. I don’t think hitting it more often is in the cards. As for avoiding allies, I’d hope she prepares her team to have some tech on/in/over their ears to avoid it. Doing a reactionary thing and have it hit all your allies sounds like quite a bad power.
