Username Changes.

Lately I've noticed a couple peoples Username Change to something else.
I would like for people not to ask that their Username be changed in this thread[ I don't want this to become a change ones Avatar every 2 seconds kind of deal, just changing your username.]

I just want to know what is going on, and what is the right way to ask an Admin to change ones name. I really don't want people to try to abuse this very cool Privilege.

Security. If your username uses your real name it is a good idea to change it. Also, if your user name is offensive to any one, it is best to be changed.

Screen Name changes are against policy.

One name was changed due to security reasons. One name was changed due to a special relationship. One name was changed as a joke. Do not expect this to happen often.

Once you have chosen your Screen Name you are stuck with it.

Creating a New Account, to change your Screen Name or any other reason, is an offense that can/will get any and all accounts of that member Banned. Each member may have only one account.

The basic answer is that names will generally not be changed. The Admins have been evaluating the feature and may use it on rare occasion in the future, but it should neither be expected nor asked for.

Can I change my name to Onacara???..It's spelled the same but the emphasis is now on the third syllable as opposed to the second.

I find, at this point, for security reasons, that it will be easier to change my RL name. (Not to mention the facial plastic surgery and the hair transplant.)
