Eh... maybe so, but I've always hated using customs myself, like I said before I'm fine if other people use them it's just not for me.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from... That's why I'm so keen on getting official production back up. But yeah, to each his own!

Well, there are always tourneys and get togethers for folks still hung up on the official stuff. And there's probably a lot of room to create scenarios using just the official stuff as well.

I've always wondered what it was about the official cards that makes them that much more appealing than some of Heroscapers' customs? I understand the people that don't want to go through the trouble of buying individual minis, rebase them and print out cards that won't look exactly like the other cards, but I fail to understand any other concerns.

Nostalgia, legitimacy, mostly. That's just me. I know the customs are 'playtested' and all that stuff but I mean seriously, it's like listening to Zoso or Lez Zeppelin. Customs just don't feel like Heroscape.

So is the D&D inspired designs real Heroscape?

If Customs were put through the same processes as the C3V/C3G by Truth, GB, CVN and C. Dupris...I'd bet they'd be accepted more...because of who those people are. But guess what the processes the C3V/C3G use are similar to the ones Hasbro used to design Heroscape units. The only difference is that C3V/C3G has to do what WotC did for the D&D units and use existing sculpts.

In my opinion, there is no difference in what the C3V/C3G does and what WotC did to keep scape going up through Wave 13.

I understand. And I never said anything about the D&D era, which I pretty much look on with disdain for the sudden drop in figure quality from hasbro's stuff.

(heads up, I'm going to make another Zeppelin reference ) Lemme ask you this: If some random dude off the street could play every guitar part in every Zeppelin song, would you go to a show headlined by him or one by Jimmy Page? (assuming you're into zeppelin)

What if Jimmy Page is dead? Do you go to the other show or go home and call up all of your friends and ask them how much they think it'd cost to get a sample of Jimmy's DNA and clone him?
