Why is this the only Bruce Wayne design that has 5 life and also the only one with 6 defense? That feels like power creep.

Most others have defensive abilities, this one we just added to the stats.

Also power creep is something of the same cost, but strictly better. This isn't Power Creep. Thematic creep you could argue (If there's a term for that, hah), but not power creep. (Like in MTG Lightning Bolt is strictly better than Shock. If Bolt came out after Shock, Bolt would be a power creep card)

Yeah, the 5 life was discussed pretty extensively. People wanted to see this as the peak Batman in strength. The lack of defensive power makes it not quite as much of an increase in survivability as it initially looks.

Pre-release: Not sure if this is an unfinished issue or not - Looking at Posts 66 and 67 discussing range vs. attack and the stated goal is “the peak Batman in strength,” in post 91 - Is the Range 5 useful if he has Batarang Flurry 15? Should he have Range 1/Attack 5?

Again- not sure this was unresolved, but it is two areas that kind of make an unresolved issue.

Not really unresolved discussion, more just an idea that was brought up. I'm pretty happy with the design as-is. (Batman benefits from I Am The Night's defense drop much more with 5 range.)
