Re: The Book of Cyclops (II)
Awesome! That makes sense, I see where I was mistaken. Thank you!

Re: The Book of Cyclops (II)
I was brainstorming how to make the ultimate Carry Flock, thinking of starting with
Groot (Huge) carrying Beast Boy (Pterodactyl) (Large), carrying Angel (Medium), carrying Green Lantern (John) (Medium), carrying two non-fliers and Old Lace (Medium/Non-Flying) who is carrying whoever is going to head the spear. Then I reined it in, came up with: Prof X, Invisible Woman, Green Lantern, Blob, Wolverine, Colossus and Angel at 1570. First turn on Prof X, have him move Angel 6 spaces forward, carrying John, who carries Colossus, Blob and Wolverine. Colossus, Wolverine and Blob are 8 Spaces from Prof X. You can walk Blob right to the edge of the start zone (the space on Blob's left), or he can potentially be Fastballed to the space he's standing on or the space to his right, or Wolverine can be Fastballed into the Startzone. Even crazier, if that space is an eligible Fastball landing spot, he can even throw Green Lantern, who can carry Blob, Wolverine and Colossus with him right up to and possibly in the startzone (below Blob and Wolverine are in at least one of the spaces that would need to be occupied an opponent's figure to make the Fastball). However, now Angel would be the only figure left in range of Prof X's Mutant Mind Link. That's what makes Cyclops an even better choice, because for only 20 points more at 1590, you get the huge initiative boost that betters the odds of you landing this first strike, and Cyclops ends the first turn in a position where next turn he can move in range of his team, potentially attack, then send Angel to start bringing up Invisible Woman, and attack with whoever is on the front lines. |

Re: The Book of Cyclops (II)
"Before moving" refers to moving on that figure's turn so you can't chain carry like that.

Re: The Book of Cyclops (II)
Yep, that's the difference between Swift Carry and Carry. (And also why Swift Carry was created.)

Re: The Book of Cyclops (II)
But I think you could have Angel Carry Colossus, have Colossus Fastball Angel, and have Angel Carry Colossus in that Fastball.
And take a turn with GL, have him take Cyke, Colossus and Old Lace, and have Old Lace bring Angel, and Angel bring Wolverine or Blob. EDIT: Or have Colossus Fastball Angel and Angel carries Lace who carries Colossus Last edited by toyhandle; November 9th, 2020 at 03:39 PM. |

Re: The Book of Cyclops (Utopian)
For ease-of-access when shopping for figures while keeping with official product names, I've figured out a way of listing Fast Forces figures that should eliminate any potential confusion over which figure to use.
For this unit, the FF listing should be as below: Giant-Size X-Men: The Uncanny Fast Forces #002 / Cyclops |
