Round 1: OMs 1 Ganthet, 23 Hal. 123 Reed. Ganthet moves up. Reed & Thing move up. Hal blasts Thing for a wound. Johnny and Sue move up and are blocked, then Reed engages Hal and wounds him. Hal wounds Johnny. Reed rolls a 20, so Johnny puts 2 wounds on Hal, Sue forces Hal to burn a marker, Thing forces Hal to burn another marker, and Reed forces Hal to burn a third.

Round 2: OMs 123 Guy. 123 Reed. Johnny flames Hal to death, so Ganthet rescues Hal with Hope Burns Bright and recharges a marker, which Johnny then forces Hal to burn again. Guy wounds Johnny, then overextends to one-shot Sue. Johnny flames Hal to death then he and Reed are blocked. Guy takes a disengagement wound, takes out Johnny, then overextends to put 4 wounds on Thing! Thing wounds Ganthet, then Reed engages Guy (preventing him from finishing off Thing) and burns one of his markers. Guy puts 3 wounds on Reed.

Round 3: OMs 123 Ganthet. 1 Thing, 23 Reed. The Fan4 win initiative, Thing takes out Ganthet, and then they whittle down Guy’s battery markers and kill him for the win.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Mister Fantastic (3 wounds) and Thing (5 wounds) win.

Ganthet’s “chosen lantern” reroll helped a good deal here, allowing Hal to score a couple wounds. His initiative boost ended up never mattering. His hope burns bright was handy, keeping Hal alive for another couple turns, allowing Guy to take shots at the Fan4 from relative safety.

Round 1: OMs 1X Ganthet, 2 Alan Scott, 3 Saint Walker. 123X Prof X. Ganthet moves up. Colossus and Psylocke move up. Alan moves up. Iceman moves up, Phoenix blasts Alan off of height. Saint Walker moves up and wounds Iceman. Phoenix and Colossus are both blocked.

Round 2: OMs 12 Saint Walker, 3 Alan, X Ganthet. 123X Prof X. Phoenix is blocked but Colossus wounds Saint Walker. Saint Walker is blocked. Phoenix blows Alan away then wounds Saint Walker, while Colossus is blocked. Saint Walker disengages both mutants (taking a third wound) and blasts Phoenix for 4 wounds. Phoenix tries to move but Alan cages her in place, so she Phoenix blasts her own Colossus to help him closer to Saint Walker, then she attacks from where she is and is blocked. Colossus kills Saint Walker, but Ganthet saves him from certain death (no recharge as Saint Walker was full!). Alan grabs height and kills Phoenix.

Round 3: OMs 1 Saint Walker, 23 Alan, X Ganthet. 123X Professor X. Saint Walker is blocked. Colossus is out of Prof X’s range, so he has Psylocke & Iceman take turns, and Psylocke rolls a 20 on Psychic Knife to kill Ganthet outright. Iceman kills Saint Walker. Alan burns the boxing glove and wounds Iceman. Iceman and Psylocke are blocked. Alan kills Iceman. Prof X wheels forward in range of Colossus.

Round 4: OMs 123 Ch’p, X Alan. 123X Professor X. Colossus moves back and Psylocke engages Alan, who burns the shield to block. Ch’p attacks Prof X, who burns the X to block. Psylocke wounds Alan, Colossus wounds Ch’p. Ch’p goes nuts, but only manages a single wound on Prof X. Psylocke and Colossus kill Alan. Ch’p goes nuts again to kill Prof X.

Round 5: OMs 123 Ch’p. 123 Psylocke. Ch’p goes nuts and puts 2 wounds on Psylocke. Psylocke kills the poor squirrel.

Tweaking The Chosen Lantern slightly to “once per turn” rather than “once per player turn” as it was hurt by bonding armies when you had to choose which attack to use the defensive reroll on.

Kyle spawns a construct shield then puts another wound on Changeling. Nightwing says Titans Go: Starfire destroys the shield then wounds Kyle, Cyborg puts 2 wounds on Kyle due to a whiffed defense roll, then Nightwing moves up.

Round 2: OMs 123 Kyle, X Ganthet. 1X Nightwing, 2 Starfire, 3 Cyborg. Kyle spawns the construct mech and uses it to blast Starfire for 3 wounds. Nightwing says Titans Go: Changeling fails, Starfire burns one of Kyle’s shields (protecting the mech), Nightwing fails. Kyle spawns a shield then has the mech shoot a fourth wound on Starfire. Starfire has killer attack rolls, but the mech matches them on defense. The mech kills Starfire. Cyborg uses his charged sonic cannon to put 2 wounds on his ally Changeling, kill Kyle (Ganthet saves him and recharges a marker), and destroy the construct shield.

Round 3: OMs 123 Ch’p, X Ganthet. 1X Nightwing, 2 Cyborg, 3 Raven. Nightwing says Titans Go: Changeling kills Kyle with his python strike, Cyborg destroys the mech warrior, Nightwing fails. Ch’p fails. Cyborg fails. Ch’p kills Changeling. Raven fails. Ch’p goes nuts and puts one wound on Raven.

Round 4: OMs 12 Ch’p, 3X Ganthet. 1X Nightwing, 2 Raven, 3 Cyborg. Ch’p goes nuts and puts 2 wounds on Raven. Nightwing says Titans Go: Cyborg wounds Ganthet and Raven transfers a wound to Ganthet. Ch’p puts a third wound on Raven. Lost OM2 on Raven due to early Soul Self use. Ganthet is blocked. Cyborg kills Ganthet.

Round 5: OMs 123 Ch’p. 1X Nightwing, 23 Cyborg. Ch’p puts a 4th wound on Raven. Raven transfers a wound to Ch’p then Cyborg kills him.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Felt fun yet overall not too impactful on the results of the game. The reroll is handy but not worth the 330-350 I played him at. 3 losses here, so I’m thinking of sending him out to public testing at 300 points.
