what has me confused is the roll 15, and than the roll 10 thing
can they clone on land , my kids were thinking you would roll
15 on land, 10 when in the water, also when cloning do you
roll the 20 sided one time for each warrior in play.

Your kids are right. If the Marro is standing in the water, he only needs to roll a 10 or above to clone. If he is on land he needs to roll 15.

therefore, you are much more likely to have a sucesful clone if the figure is in water.

The other part of water cloning that sometimes trips people up is that the newly cloned figure must be placed on a hex that is level with the hex on which the cloning figure is located. Also, a newly cloned figure does not get to try to clone an additional figure on that turn.

Many times questions about specific figures can be answered easily by consulting the appropriate BOOK. Click here to go to the Book of the Marro Warriors.

An index to all the BOOKs can be found HERE.

Each Marro Warrior in play gets a chance to try for the clone ability. Except, as Revdyer said, newly cloned warriors don't get a chance to clone on that turn.
