Nice simple design, should be easy to balance.

CMSA is quite powerful (equivalent of an attack of 6.67, but but with a more consistent result) and the backfire is only going to average 2/3 of a wound per swing. Having 3 or 4 skulls pretty much every time is pretty nice.

I'm all for easy to balance. It will be rejuvenating if it goes that way.

I'm definitely dropping the defense to 4.

He'll be a glass cannon to the nth degree for sure. I'm liking a 105-115 ending point.

Leatherface is indeed the most visually creepy/scary/intimidating/disturbing IMO, which is why I felt the demoralizing power was best here. You see a dude wearing your friend's face, you're not exactly going to be thinking straight.

I wouldn't be opposed to some sort of mechanic that has him charging and attacking beyond your control. Something along the line of Scent Triggered Frenzy etc.

Actually, I think that the mechanic Ronin is looking for is already here in its own way. The idea that his Chainsaw is just completely vicious and nasty but can completely backfire on itself isn't really him taking control from you as the player, but as the player you kind of feel like you have to use the chainsaw and the chainsaw can make things go very much out of your control. So I think that "out of control killer" feeling is very much alive in this write up.

I think part of my burn out is attributed to taking on a lot of tricky designs as of late. Freddy, Sub, Man-Thing, Klarion/Teekl, Michael, Chucky, Ra’s...trying to get them all just right has led to a lot of fuel being spent for sure, and Drax was that tipping point that I just couldn’t continue with. I want things to feel just right, and a lot of those designs had moments where they had to start all over or see lots of brainstorming to get them there.

Here’s hoping for something simple and to the point.

For the record, your LDs lately have been gold. I know you are feeling burnt out, but I assure you, your efforts are not in vain. I'm sure others share this sentiment. Btw, don't know if you know it, but the figure mod is SICK! (And I mean that in every sense of the word.) Great work!

I love this design! It's super elegant and it's been awhile since I've seen a design stick that way through the process. Demoralizing Presence makes sense as a power name and ability and I like what it adds to the game. The Special Attack is straightforward and cool. Really great stuff.

The figure mod looks great! Using the cape as an apron!
