Urban Dead, a FREE MMORPG based on Dawn/Shaun of the Dead
(I thought I had posted about this game here a long time ago, but it turns out that must have been at the HQ site!)

With the upcoming release of Heroscape's Zombies, I thought it would be a good time to plug my favorite MMORPG:
Urban Dead

It is a MMORPG that simulates a Zombie outbreak in the fictional city of Malton, which is divided into many suburbs.
The game is turn based, non-graphical, but very fun.
You have only 50 action points per day, and it only takes a few minutes a day to play, which is just the right pace for a light "lunch break" game experience.
One of the cool features of the game is that you can play as a Zombie or a survivor...and you may switch back and forth many times through Necrotech revivification procedures.
There are no NPCs; if you kill a zombie you have killed a real player. There is no permanent death in Urban Dead, although getting killed does cost the player some precious Action Points.

You'll want to keep that bookmarked for frequent use!

(I am known as "Aquila Ung" in Urban Dead.)

There is a lot to do but if you don't participate in any of the "metagaming" (such as group forums) then I imagine it could get boring very quickly.

In my neighborhood we have had a major battle with "The Big Bash" which was a well organized group of over 400 zombies that are going from suburb to suburb smashing malls open and such. We have pretty much recovered from that (they came through Santlerville in October, and messed up our suburb pretty badly.)

Try playing it using Firefox for a far superior UD experience.

Lots of tweaks to install - like a graphical map, a Zombie speech translator and loads more.

I signed up for Urban Dead, but have since forgotten what my character's name was.
I do want to try this game some more!

I wondering if that was you Rob, welcome to the boards! Our game collections keep getting closer and closer to identical!

In a complete thread jack (but keeping on a Zombie topic); were you able to use the Beat 'em or Burn 'em (One of Rob's Zombie Plague expansions that I recently redid the art for), or do you need it converted to A4?

The Beat 'em or Burn 'em PDF is currently hosted at the Yahell! group.

I still use the old original image in our boardgame sessions as it was the correct size before the guy PDF'd it, and I'm out of ink!

Which reminds me, I need to convert the car over to the Cyberboard version.

I'm moving house tomorrow, so I'll be offline for a good few weeks.

It's virtually the same setup as Urban Dead, but the enemy are computer controlled, and this time you're dealing with Demons from another dimension ala DOOM™

A bonus is there's no restriction on move AP's, so you can play all day long.

Nothing wrong with getting XP as a Zombie...
In fact, you can even get XP attacking your fellow zombies...:eat:
They don't get all bent out of shape about it the way we Survivors do
