Round 1: Tornado hits Grodd for a wound from height. Black Adam hits Tornado for three wounds. Sinestro

Round 2: Lex and Wonder Woman shed markers. Black Adam flies from the Tornado and Black Canary goes into the fray and hits him. Tornado smacks Sinestro for two wounds. A tornado throws Grodd out of the range to take a turn with Black Adam. He advances. Sinestro hits Red Tornado for a vengeful strike, then another wound. Sinestro flies from the tornado. Black Canary goes Into the Fray. Red Tornado attacks everyone around him and puts 3 wounds on Grodd, killing him, and 1 on Black Adam. A tornado throws Sinestro into engagement with Black Canary. Sinestro KO’s Black Canary, but she screams and takes out him and puts one on Black Adam. Red Tornado takes out Black Adam with F5 Fury.

Round 3: Lex sheds a marker. Lex takes out Red Tornado from range. Batman hits Lex for two wounds from range. Batman hits Lex for another wound.

Round 4: Wonder Woman sheds a marker. Lex sheds a marker to hit Wonder Woman for a wound and hits Wonder Woman for a wound.

Round 5: Lex sheds a marker to avoid Batman destroying him and puts another wound on Wonder Woman. Lex lands a wound on Wonder Woman, then she finishes him.

Unit Summary: Red Tornado is pretty beastly but a lot of fun. Even when his tornadoes don’t wound anyone, he can do a lot of it on his own and slots in nicely in the League.

Updated the SP with his Defense reduced from 6 to 5. That should help reign him in just a tad, based on the results from tonight's 2 games. I'll likely run another couple games myself with that reduction to see where he's at here in a few days, unless someone else familiar with the faction beats me to it.

Black Canary and Green Arrow grab some ground while the Titans move up in a group. Red Tornado rockets up on OM3 to drop a tornado glyph next to Cyborg to end the first round.

Red Tornado then drops a Tornado glyph near Raven, and tosses her over a ruin, so she is out of clear sight for Nightwing’s Titans Go! The Titans have pretty rough dice this game, and struggle to do much, though Cassie moves up and puts a few wounds on Black Canary. The JL manages to take out Starfire before she can do anything.

Red Tornado places enough Tornado Glyphs to eventually move all of Nightwing, Raven, and Cyborg adjacent to him, enabling some really powerful Whirlwind Assaults, especially when combo’d with turns from Black Canary and Green Arrow. And the Titans just have a bad combo of weak dice and the loss of Starfire limiting their attack potential anyway. Wonder Girl takes out Black Canary, but then Red Tornado and Green Arrow take out all the other Titans. Wonder Girl does her best in the endgame, but she’s outclassed and taken out.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Definitely a very useful figure, he’s got a pretty great amount of figure movement. In this game he wasn’t targeted early and he took out the Titans’ best attacker early, so the Titans struggled to fight back. The autowounds from the Tornado Glyphs and F5 Fury were pretty brutal for Nightwing and Raven, who both normally are difficult to wound, and the Titans are an army that relies heavily on positioning, which Red Tornado disrupts.

Very fun design to play! Figure movement is always a blast, and figuring out how best to place Tornados and set up F5 Fury and/or Whirlwind Assault was neat.

After the second game and talking it over with Bats and Arkham, we think he’s close, but probably needs a slight drop in defensive capabilities before further tests. Reducing defense from 6 to 5 should do the trick.

Fantastic Four still gets hit hard by the Tornados. Decent back and forth. Thing could never get his groove and rolled poorly on defense most times, but the Justice League had a couple of botches as well so it felt fairly even. Anyone's game in the end.
