The first ever Valkrill custom unit.

I've decided to post my latest work right in front for easier viewing. All of my older customs are in the spoilers, though I'm working on a better way of sorting them. Does anyone know how to make images not get bigger in the spoilers?

This was my first "just for fun" custom.

This unit fills a special place in my scaping heart. The reason? It was the very first custom unit I ever made. Which is the reason I don't want to change the pic, despite the low quality. This unit has been tested and I believe we have its points nailed down. The figure is a Mageknight Amotep Incinerator.

Rise of the Moltarns.

Atlaga was checking his armor when he heard a scream. He looked up and saw a wall of fire rapidly advancing toward him. He quickly took to the air. Looking down he saw a squirming mass of serpents flowing through the camp, setting fire to everything they touched. While he could fly to escape the serpents the elves were not as lucky. Within minutes there was nothing but ash where Ullar's camp had once been. As he looked back he caught a glimpse of a hulking figure in middle of the teeming mass. He watched in horror as the swarm continued on it's journey, burning as it went. Figure's are three dnd minis flame snakes. (Note: I normally am not a fan of using the same figure for a squad, however with these I took a chance. Upon recieving them I was pleased to find that they have enough paint variation to distingush them from each other).

Remember the hulking figure from the Moltarn Serpents? Ballistae started out as a simple unit to help the Obisidians but looked too similar to the Bone Captain. So I decided to make him a real ballistae.
Figure is a dnd minis rockfire dreadnought. This figure does require rebasing but will fit on a single hex base. Also he is perfectly in scale with the Obsidian Guards. The only flaw is that it is transparent so it looks a little strange next to the Obsidian Guards.
This figure is one of the most fun customs I've ever made. It has been tested and I feel is acceptable to use in a game. Figure is a dnd minis Balor. Note: This figure requires rebasing to a large 2 hex base (sorry Mimring, I really did want to paint you).

Krug sees a lot of play at my table and has a reputation for being overpowered. This is a simple anti Krug unit that should also make a decent tank. Figure is a Mageknight slasher.

Why? Because Vallaha needed a pyrokinetic. That's why.
Figure is a dnd minis blazing skeleton.


This unit is my pride and joy. While it is my favorite of all my customs it has not been tested at all. The points are a complete shot in the dark. The figure is a dnd minis terror wight.

This is my new X-files blank. I think it looks a lot better than the old one.

Zombieland.

A simple unit to help out the Zombies. Pricing is loosely based around MDG by comparing the value of an adjacent attack bonus to the value of being able to revive and take a turn with one figure per turn. Figure is a repainted Tarn Viking.

Every captain needs underlings, and I did have three extra Tarn Vikings. This was the first squad I made.

I made this unit for the speed custom contest. This a slightly altered version. The original was named "Drow Darkmage". I gave her a real name and changed the class from Arachnomancer to Darkmage. The unit made it to the semi-finals.

This unit is simple. My family wanted a unit that could knock enemies into lava or off a ledge. I wanted a unit to boost the Izumi. While this unit was played once it was not drafted with any other samurai so we could not draw any definitive data from the battle to help with his points. Figure is a repainted Izumi Samurai.

I made this card for my little brother. I am more than aware that this card will more than likely never see play outside my table, but I thought it came out well.

This blank was oringinally made for Mufasa. However I did not like the way he looked on it. I know that there have been several attempts at making disney customs on this site so I thought that this might be useful for another customs creator. I know its not a proffesional job but I have not seen another disney card on heroscapers so feel free to use it. If you do use my card I would appreciate it if you show me the unit you made with it.

What's a good amount of pixels? I've been resizing them on photobucket and this is the next size down from them taking up the whole screen.

Somewhere around 500x500 or 600x600 should be good.

I can barely make them out as they are now, but it's still better.

Two things:


1:I can't believe you made a samurai without Counterstrike! Especially with 5 defense!

2:I would think you would make the torch a light or I'm not sure what, but a soulborg is kinda out there.

All in all, though, they are half-way decent.

Now, as for the cards themselves:

Grandmaster Shogun seems a little too cheap, either make him 140 or take out the bonding.

Eugene Tooms is also a bit too cheap, maybe make him 100?

Torch is good as is, the Fireproof Armor ability really balances him out.

All in all, good job.

I knew that grandmaster shogun was overpowered, I just wasn't sure how much. One reason that Tooms was priced so low was that despite all of the cool abilities he's still a one attack per turn melée unit. I'll make some changes to Grandmaster shogun tommorow. I think i'll wait for more feedback on Tooms though. I hope this doesn't offend you. I'm glad you like them.

If you don't want to raise Tooms cost, you could change his defense to 3 or 4.

But yeah, I'd wait for more feedback.

Fixed a typo on the Grandmaster Shogun. Upped the price on the Grandmaster Shogun. Added Bone Captain.

Eugene Tooms could prove to be fun unit to play.

You might want to consider putting a limit on the number of spaces and levels he can move with Squeeze. As it is worded it can be abused. It is worded in such a way that if a castle covers most of the map Eugene can move to any part of the castle he wants even if it is 15 spaces away and 22 levels high.

Perhaps...
SQUEEZE
Instead of his normal move Eugene Tooms may Squeeze. Squeeze has a move of 4. [your original ability text here] Eugene Tooms may not Squeeze more than 12 levels higher or lower in a single move.

With Squeeze and his other abilities he is definitely underpriced right now at 80. Lowering his defense would be a good solution as Davey has already mentioned.

Bone Captain is good, though I'm not sure about taking a turn with the newly placed figure right away.
