The Book of Robot (Rudy Conners)
The Book of Robot C3G IMAGE WAVE 21 DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Invincible set. Its model number and name are #003 / Robot. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Robot was the founder of the Teen Team, a group of teenage superheroes that investigated local crimes. He used a specialized flying vehicle to carry his teammates, Atom Eve, Rex-Splode, and Dupli-Kate, into battle. They were very successful as a team, especially after they met Invincible, who outclassed them all and could help them in ways that weren't possible for them. Originally thought to be just a plain robot, it turns out that the robot body was just an automaton, controlled by the "real" robot, who was a deformed person who couldn't live outside of his chamber. Tired of this horrible life, he bribed the Mauler Twins to help him create a clone body of Rex-Splode (who he chose because his crush, Monster Girl, always thought Rex was cute). Allowing his old body to die off, Robot was now able to interact in person, but still maintaining his telepathic control of his automatons. Eventually, he is chosen by Cecil Steadman to be the new leader of the Guardians of the Globe, due to his strategic brilliance. With his cloned body, he is capable of going into battles himself, using his robots as strength-enhancing suits, but he usually prefers staying safe in his base, while controlling his robots and leading the team. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

Re: The Book of Robot
I commented on this earlier so you know I like it.
So I don't miss it later: GUARDIANS OF THE GLOBE After revealing an Order Marker and instead of taking a turn with Robot normally, you may choose Robot or any Unique Hero you control within 6 clear sight spaces to take a turn. After taking a turn with the chosen hero, you may move up to two figures you control 4 spaces each. And from the comic picture, should he be able to carry 2 figures? Call it Space Bike Carry or whatever his vehicle is called. |

Re: The Book of Robot
Quozl, we could have two figures carried, but it's not that important, and I don't want it to be too crazy powerful. He didn't even use the bike much in the comics, but that's the only figure available, so I went with it.
Hahma, I'll change it to two other figures! Wasn't the intent, no! And I just edited in a bio for those who don't know him! |

Re: The Book of Robot
I think he's a bit too... good. You're moving a ton of figures and you get Order Marker flexibility on top of that. Any way we can tone it down a bit (maybe make the movement and turn power either-or?)?

Re: The Book of Robot
Yep, there are a few initial concerns here for sure.
Calculated Response stacks with Angel in ways I don't particularly care for, especially when you factor in carry as well. Too much defensive movement with this combo, IMO. Honestly, this is one where I'd prefer any of Oracle's three powers to this. I like Guardians of the Globe, but it'll need to be tested with combos such as Archangel and Human Torch, since free movement can be offensive. Also, we'll have to see what it does for common squad armies that benefit from free movement. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Robot
If we want we can just cut Calculated Response completely. The Guardians power is my favorite, and we can just cost him according to that and Carry. I think I want to stay away from carrying two figures, since the Guardians movement plus two more is pretty darned significant, but we could still tweak it in some way if desired.

Re: The Book of Robot
What about if he takes the turn, then two can move; if someone else takes the turn, then only one can move?
