Statistical Analysis of USA Citizens (regardless of age)

This is NO place for an argument. The reason for this thread is simply for demographical purposes. If you feel inclined, you may state your position, but this is not the place for saying who is right and who is wrong.

I consider myself a Conservative Christian Republican.

Theophilus.

I find partison politics to be against everything America stands for, and dislike both Conservatives and Liberals.

This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.

The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension, which in different ages and countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.

This poll will never be able to accurately represent everyone. I have no idea what to put for myself.

gibberish_47 Woo who?
I don't know where to put myself either. I want limited government, because frankly no one, especially the government, knows what I want more than myself. I'm not down with them taking my money and giving it to people who don't have a job and don't plan on getting one. Heck, there's a teenage girl a few blocks away who has a baby. She gets welfare and food stamps and drives around in a convertible. Yeah, that's the message we want to send to future generations. "Don't worry, you don't have to work. Let all the stupid rich people do the work for you, and you can take their money. Have a nice day."

I never really understood welfare. Sure, someone has to pay it back eventually, but it's likely to be someone who didn't take the money in the first place.

Well, I think that the government should help the poor, but I don't really like taxation... I think we should help the environment, but I like my petroleum products and electric power... I'm very, very liberal, but I like things the way they are... Hmm...

But isn't that the same as a Liberal Republican, and Conservative Democrat and a centrist?
