Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
I agree. I brought this issue up on page one and forgot to follow up on it. But I agree completely for the stated reasons.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
Yeah, make it attacks only. Too much rules weirdness with abilities/lava/knockback etc.
To get around Ghost Rider you can always make the death look like an accident. |

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
Sounds good. So a limit to the roll and limiting the figure placement to attacks only.
PENANCE STARE 19 Anytime an opponent's Unique Hero attacks a figure you control and destroys it, you may place that figure on the attacking Hero's Army Card. Instead of attacking with Ghost Rider you may choose an adjacent Unique Hero. Roll the 20-sided die, adding one for each figure placed on the chosen figure's card by this special power to a maximum of +4 to your roll. If you roll 19 or higher destroy the chosen figure. |

PENANCE STARE 20
Anytime an opponent's Unique Hero destroys a figure you control with a normal or special attack, you may place the destroyed figure on the attacking Hero's Army Card. Instead of attacking with Ghost Rider you may choose an adjacent Unique Hero. Roll the 20-sided die. Add one to the roll for each figure that was placed on the chosen figure's card by this special power, up to a maximum of +4. If you roll 20 or higher, destroy the chosen figure. Clarity and power level issues. |

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
How do you guys feel about adding this line to Hellfire Motorcycle: Slippery Ice and Heavy Snow only count as 1 space when moving.

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
Is it necessary for the design? Feels like a lot of stuff to remember for one movement power. I think move 9 gives him quite a bit of flexibility.

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
I was thinking the same thing earlier, tcglkn, and I was wondering if there was a way to blanket statement the power so that he avoids all terrain types.

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
HELLFIRE MOTORCYCLE
Ghost Rider never rolls for molten lava damage or lava field damage. You may ignore Ghost Rider's height when moving up levels of terrain. Ghost Rider ignores the effects of terrain when moving. Ghost Rider is never attacked when leaving engagement. Something like this? |

Re: The Book of Ghost Rider - Design
The old college try:
Ghost Rider is not affected by terrain that would stop his movement or count as additional spaces. |

HELLFIRE MOTORCYCLE
Ghost Rider avoids all terrain types that would hinder his movement cause him to receive wounds, or cause him to be destroyed. You may ignore Ghost Rider's height when moving up levels of terrain. Ghost Rider is never attacked when leaving engagement. |
