That power is crazy good right now, I've had heat vision tear some people up before and you can roll defense dice vs. it. As T is alluding too with his Death comparison, I'm no not a big fan of consistent no defense can be rolled mechanics. Green Arrow's once in a great while if the d20 is being good to him is one thing, more steady negating off all defense is just too powerful vs. figures who rely on rolling defense dice for their special powers to work (ie. Flash). I also agree with LO though that it would be great if we can update the Dredd and Death cards so that T is happier with them then he currently is. Every time T complains about them it's like a punch in the gut for me, as I myself take partial blame for how those design thread played out due to the role I played in them. |

On the topic of the design itself, I could probably replace the SA with another power/SA (maybe representing the tentacles he can summon), increase his Cosmic Awareness (he can read minds), or, if we really want to go ahead with the figureless card concept, he could have some sort of power representing the ritual to destroy Death itself. |

FORTIFY Bunker and friendly figures within three spaces of Bunker add 1 to their defence dice. If Bunker or a friendly figure within three spaces of Bunker is attacked, you may remove one Order Marker from this card to add 1 automatic shield to their defence roll. BRICK GLOVES When Bunker attacks an adjacent figure, add 2 to his attack dice. PLATFORMER 6 When counting spaces for the normal movement of a figure you control, if that figure is moving onto a space within 3 spaces of Bunker, elevation changes of up to 6 levels count as one space. Passive defense boosts are very powerful. Look at Raelin (ROTV) and her place in the classic metagame or how Sue is the second cornerstone of most Adventurer builds. If I'm reading it correctly, a figure within 3 spaces gets both boosts, meaning they get +1 defense and an auto-shield. That's more than Sue can do for non-adventurers.

Never heard of him but as the resident Titan's pusher...
Fortify should probably be limited to Titan's and Sidekicks at minimum. Open Defense boosts are pretty big deals in C3G. Karolina Dean is another example of passive shielding figures that put a limit on them. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |
