Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
I think we're sort of working out how we're planning to handle the rules. Seems like more of a case-by-case posted in the thread of Figureless stuff like this and maybe compiled eventually, but didn't want to put together a rulebook while the idea was generally still expanding I think.

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
Would be good to have one by the May release.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
OK. Well those should be written somewhere, then, and linked on that fake link in the OP.

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
To clarify, that first sentence is implying that you can't draft more than one Event Card, right?

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
Doing a full rule book for this is kind of absurd. Like tickle says...it’s a couple of sentences at most.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
That's how I wanted to rule it, drafting multiple Events is weird.

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
OK. Assuming that's agreed upon, I think that limit could/should be spelled out a bit more explicitly in the rules text, since that's like one of the few mechanically relevant things the rules need to tackle.

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
I think it depends on what we want to identify as an "Event." If "night time" and "thunder storm" are events, no reason they shouldn't be draftable together.
And honestly, is it that weird to have Events draftable together? I feel like "two big things are going on at once and the heroes have to deal" is a common enough comic book trope that there's no need to limit things in-game. If somebody wants to play a 3 Event game where Rogues, the Sinister Six, and the Gotham villains are coming after Flash, Spidey, and Batman, that sounds fine to me. Only concern I can see is potential balance issues. Like if there's a "this figure has the Phoenix Force" event and a "this figure has a Green Lantern ring" event that can both be stacked on the same figure, I can see how that has the potential to cause problems. But it also seems like the kind of thing we can figure out as we go forward? Either way, things shouldn't be decided until LV can weigh in. |

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
Events having contingencies in enemy armies is an obvious balance check. Like if your opponent meets all criteria for you GL ring, Speed Force Enhanced, Phoenix Force using Flash, more power to ya. One copy of an Event Card is a fine limit, but no need to say only 1 if we think we will use the same name for a card like Thunderstorm or Nighttime.

Re: The Book of Rogues Revolution Event
Then the rules should just be like for drafting Unique Heroes.
