OK, here's what I'm planning to update the SP with now that the breathing period is well passed:

Start the game with four white Shapeshift Markers. At the start of Metamorpho's turn, you may place or remove any number of Shapeshift Markers on this card. Add one to Metamorpho's Attack and Defense values and subtract one from his Move and Range values for each Shapshift Marker on this card. A maximum of 4 Shapeshift Markers can be placed on this card.

ELEMENTAL FORMS
While this Army Card has:

• 0 Shapeshift markers, Metamorpho cannot be targeted for special powers or attacks from non-adjacent figures.
• 1 Shapeshift marker, Metamorpho can move through all figures and is never attacked when leaving an engagement.
• 2 Shapeshift markers, when Metamorpho attacks, he can attack up to two figures in his range, rolling attack dice once for all affected figures.
• 3 Shapeshift markers, when rolling defense dice against a normal attack from an adjacent attacking figure, all excess shields count as unblockable hits on the attacking figure.
• 4 Shapeshift markers, Metamorpho may not be moved by any special power on an Army Card unless the player controlling Metamorpho allows him to be moved.

@dok @Soundwarp SG-1 @Dysole @weebaer since things have changed very drastically here, I'll need you to weigh in again and let me know if we're good to go. With no healing or extreme defensive options, I'm guessing we're still OK, though. My novice eyes don't see anything exploitative, at least.

Also, anyone with a working points calculator able to get me a starting point?

I think it would be helpful if the CRB could let us know if our choices present any strategically unnecessary combos...for instance, are there any of these choices you think would rarely be useful.

Boo. All that means is I'll be digging up the index to do comparisons. There's no shame in using a reliable tool to be more efficient and accurate, though. If my car breaks down, I won't start walking to work.

He's a tough one to compare. Sticking with 320 for now, I think. Could see him going up or down based on comparisons.

It's actually why I still like doing head to head test when the figure isn't doing a bunch of support/synergy stuff. Try to find some cards among the 700 we have already priced that look comparable and then test them head to head and see if they feel like they are on equal footing or if one has an edge. Helps narrow the field some before team testing starts up.

He looks pretty strong so 320 seems like it is at least in the right area of the scale. 7/7 beat stick, 6/6 w/counterstrike, 5/5 double target attack at range 3, each of those look like good options depending on who he's facing down, then he also has an escape option should he get into trouble. Might draft him with a healer so if he does get into trouble and escapes, then you can heal him up some. The 5 life is what will keep him in check since whiffs happen vs. big attack rolls from time to time.

Yeah, could end up higher. I'll probably do some heavy hitters on this one. Curious to see him against Captain Atom.

Yeah those options are why I think we may need extra testing here. I'm not sure how much strategy will play in deciding what combo to use. I think I could play him in the same army vs army test several times before I "figure him out" and I'd probably get different results. He's probably one of those figures that deserves more test at a smaller army size but I'll leave that up to the CRB. I know dok and SG-1 have made comments in the past about some figures not getting enough info from large armies.

I'd have the wording say "exactly X markers" so people don't think (or argue) the effects stack.

4 feels the most situational, but it'll be really helpful in some matchups. 3 feels like it'll be the hardest to maximize value. It's gonna be an interesting balancing act and all powers feel about the same level.
