Re: The Book of Polaris
Figure, Bio, R&Cs, SP Formatting, Spoilers, Unresolved Discussion, and Playtests look good.
One small suggestion on the powers front, just to slightly rearrange Magnetic Bubble Trap for better grammar and clarity. Quote:

Re: The Book of Polaris
Well, any rewording depends on the effect we want. The wording in the SP forces the roll to trigger regardless of who is moving the opponent's figure (meaning it could trigger if a tosser you control tried to move the figure). Your rewording in the quote flips that, forcing it to also trigger when an opponent's tosser attempts to move a figure you control with the marker. Your other suggestion though locks it down to only triggering when an opponent is moving one of their figures with the marker. I believe the third option would be the intent, but TB will have to make the final say on this.

Re: The Book of Polaris
Yeah, there are some slight mechanical nuances to changing it. The current SP wording does need updated no matter what, though. Right now, if you have two opponents and opponent A tries to move opponent B's figure with a special power, it's not clear who has to roll the 20-sided die.

Good point, I missed that oddity.

Re: The Book of Polaris
The thematic idea is that she's using her magnetic powers to lock someone in place, preventing them from moving. It wasn't something I considered, but that would presumably extend to someone else trying to move them. It makes sense to me that she could allow her allies to move that figure, but that's not a big deal. Whatever wording is cleaner works for me, but it should block all opponents from moving the trapped figure.

Re: The Book of Polaris
I think this is the wording we want then; it triggers anytime any opponent moves a figure with the Bubble Marker (whether it be their figure, your figure, or another player's figure), but doesn't affect Polaris' team if they move the figure with the marker.

Works for me. SP updated, so we'll need a card update when you have time

Re: The Book of Polaris
It was overlooked. Thanks for the bump.
Cards Updated. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: The Book of Polaris
Was just looking this over after realizing that she bonds with Captain Britain, and I wanted clarification here:

Re: The Book of Polaris
Intent-wise, there's not a clear answer because we did end up slightly tweaking this one mechanically, on the grounds that the old version was unclear.
As written, I would say there is no move/place distinction there and Mandarin would need to roll. |
