Re: The Book of Detective Chimp (Final Editing)
Basing on Predator and Sandman as precedent, the Order Markers should probably be as follows:
DRUNKEN DETECTIVE At the start of the round, after Order Markers are placed and before rolling for initiative, you may view an unrevealed Order Marker on an opponent's Army Card. For the entire round, if you viewed: • Order Marker 1, figures you control roll 1 additional die when defending. • Order Marker 2, after taking a turn with a figure you control, you may reveal the "X" Order Marker on an Army Card you control to take an immediate turn with any other figure you control. You may not take any additional turns with other figures you control. • Order Marker 3, figures you control roll 1 additional die when attacking a figure with Order Marker 3 on its card. • the "X" Order Marker, Detective Chimp may not move, attack, or use his Ape Escape special power. The fact the sentence starts with "for the entire round" means we don't need the bit at the end of the X pip. I shuffled some wording around to make it a bit more consistent... tried to avoid the possessive who in OM3's pip, because it was wonky to figure out, which led to changing to rolling an additional die, then I changed OM1's pip to match, and yeah, it was a headache. But I think that should be good. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Detective Chimp (Final Editing)
Kinda bothers me that we use different formatting for the X OM versus numbered ones. Would prefer to have them match on the same power at least. That looks terrible to me.

Re: The Book of Detective Chimp (Final Editing)
Yeah, I don't love it either, but we have a pretty strong precedent for both - way stronger for "X" Order Marker, less so for Order Marker #, but at least 3-4 uses in the past.
Personally I think "2" Order Marker looks weird, though, so I don't think I'd be happy either way. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Detective Chimp (Final Editing)
There's also official game precedent for doing the same mechanical effects in different wording on different cards. Like it's not that common, but it happens. Would it be so wrong to go "Order Marker 'X'" for the last clause?
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Detective Chimp (Final Editing)
I mean, there's a difference between phrasing and vocabulary. ("X" Order Marker) is a singular thing, so it's different than, say, using "Ninja Turtle" instead of "Turtle Ninja" on the TMNT. Those are two vocabulary words, (Ninja) and (Turtle), so the ordering isn't really relevant.
Like, it's not a big deal, we all know what it means, it's all nitpicky stuff either way. Comes down to personal preference - do we want one of the pips on this card to be weird, or do we want one card that uses the X to be weird? I'd prefer the latter, but it doesn't really matter. Re: The Book of Detective Chimp (Final Editing)
Turtle Ninja would sound like trash. The ordering is 100% relevant.
I kind of dislike how it says "the "X" Order Marker" like Loki doesn't exist. lol C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Yeah, I mean, I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it.
This guy is fun! Glad to see him wrapping up. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
