noob question...special attack/attack
CHOMP - BEFORE ATTACKING, CHOOSE ONE MEDIUM OR SMALL FIGURE ADJACENT TO GRIMNAK. IF THE CHOSEN FIGURE IS A SQUAD FIGURE, DESTROY IT. IT THE CHOSEN FIGURE IS A HERO FIGURE, ROLL THE 20-SIDED DIE. IF YOU ROLL A 16 OR HIGHER DESTROY THE CHOSEN HERO.

Grimnak was choosen randomly, but several specials are worded the same way: BEFORE ATTACKING... My question is in cases such as these, does the special happen in-between moving and attacking or does the special happen instead of a normal attack?

Do you have to Chomp each turn?
No, it is an optional ability.

Chomp is a Special Power. It is not a Special Attack.

Heroscraper, the best way to answer your question is to do exactly what the card says; that is Chomp before attacking. Therefore, as it was before and not instead of attacking, you could then attack after you Chomp.
