Went and saw Logan today. Really pleased with the film, it deserves the praise it is getting. A fairly serious and heavy film in tone, filled with lots of awesome action that definitely earns its R rating. You see the berserker in full rage mode a few times and X-23 is pretty hard core in her own way. There are a few tender and/or funny parts sprinkled in too. Won't spoil any of the surprises but it does start off in a hilarious way.

I saw Logan too. I thought it was good, I wasn't expecting much from it though. I'd rank it somewhere in the middle of the X-Men movies, but the best of the Wolverine solo movies.

I also saw it last night and really enjoyed it. I agree with all your points above. One of my favorite parts was actually not in the movie. It was the Deadpool preview before the film. I love how they are doing that character. It was a little sad seeing wolverine like that in the movie though right?

I don't know if I would describe it as sad. Wolverine has always been a bit of a tragic figure with solo story lines that deal with defeating more personal demons rather than saving the world. It is part of his draw for me.

Ran my RPG, Heroscape style, last weekend. Went really well.
Playing at the local gaming convention at the end of March for a warm-up for Gen-Con.
After that I should be able to give C3G some focus for a little while.

Found this place that has some cool base stickers with cool designs, for those that want to rebase figures and not have to get into all the hassle of applying the various terrain bits to the base.

Place is called Mats by Mars and the bases are Stick to Basics Base Inserts.

I emailed them to get the diameter of the stickers. Being designed to fit inside the rim of the rounded lip bases, they may be a bit smaller than the Impact or Cavalier stickers. Alex, the owner, is going to check and get back to me. I'll post his response.
