Is the marker removal supposed to work with Order Markers? If so, I'd run with Indigo Tribe a bit. They can make a real mean scissors build.

A Kilowog/GL army for one makes sense, yeah, especially since he's on the cheaper side.

I wonder if a test with Jade or a Blue Lantern would make sense to see how healing stacks?

10+ initiative win is hard to rely on, but I wonder if it's worth trying to exploit that one? I'm drawing a blank on who really wants to know where Order Markers are AFTER rolling for initiative (cuts out Detective Chimp). Maybe someone like Jessica Jones? But she's probably not a great fit here. Might be better to try to stack him with other Order Marker removers (Beast, Meteorite, Indigo Tribe etc.).

Yea, Johnny intended for the power to work on Order Markers. That’s why he made it remove 2 wounds otherwise you’d probably always go for OMs. I’ll look into the Indigos. Kilowog is basically something I always start with for a GL build.

Green Power Battery: Standard

Emerald Sight: Triggered: once, was helpful to know what order to remove OMs with Alshajaea instead of guessing.

Alshajaea: 2 OMs removed from Luke in one round.

Meteorite was really annoying for the Fighters, making Luke have to stay adj to his friends to bond. Even with that and Luke losing almost an entire round to Simon, this army didn't seem to have the punch to deal with the Fighters. Using Simon's Markers to remove OMs just makes him less of a threat.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Jessica Jones full health, Luke with 4 wounds and Shang-Chi with 1 wound.

Alshajaea: Removed the X OM off Prof twice in order to kill him.

Had never played with the Indigos before this game and they were kinda nasty feeling but weren't able to actually deal damage, just annoyed the X-Men by removing bonding from Jean and Iceman early. The X-Men did alright even after Simon was able to kill Prof X through his defenses.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Iceman with 3 wounds, Angel with 1 wound and Beast/Cyclops/Armor all unwounded.

Emerald Sight: Triggered: twice, once during the first round which was not useful and once later when it also didn't help much

Alshajaea: Not used.

Scarlet Witch cursed Kilowog and Simon early which made it hard for me to really take advantage of them (Kilowog didn't get to remove his 2nd Marker for the Lanterns until round 3!) and Simon kept getting negated when he was in a position to use Alshajaea. Lukcily the Kilowog boost is active through the curse so Simon was still able to do something during his cursed turned. Hawkeye's SA is really nasty against Lanterns and he was able to take Guy out in 2 shots without Guy getting to use any of his Battery markers.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Simon Baz with 3 wounds and 3 Battery Markers and Kilowog and Ch'p with no wounds and no Battery Markers.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I was thinking a significant point drop might be in order after the first two games but right now I feel like he is worth about 250 points. He wants to use his Markers for his powerful Alshajaea, but that leaves him pretty weak and he doesn't have a shield power so he can still just get taken out early if he gets unlucky and lose his Battery Markers.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I do want to change Alshajaea to only remove an Order Marker once per round, I do think it could get cheesy if he takes an entire round from a player while bonding with Jess.

Though part of me wants to make a new ruling saying that Order Markers aren’t considered markers, since they’re functionally completely different things, so we’d have to specify Marker or OM in cases like this.

But that’s something I need to bring up in the rules thread.

Use the term "colored markers" and you should be good, I think. Though that might cut out wound markers? Something you could establish in the rulebook as including them, though.

We've used the phrase "marker that is not an Order Marker" before, I believe. Or something like that to cut out wound markers.
