Hmm, well I had her at 55 points ... It looks like she never attacked at all in that game and Toad outshone his cost significantly, without her help. The only two boosts of hers that seemed significant here were contributing to a successful Tongue Lash (that failed to result in a successful Engagement Strike) and helping Nightcrawler avoid an attack once. I'm looking forward to seeing your results in the second test!

Pass. She makes some good combos (Toad/Mystique) better, but not so much so that it's overpowered by any means.

Marginal pass. Deadly Crossbow really feels like a throw away ability. You're not goign to use it unless you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. However, it's really thematic and it makes the card look like less of a pure cheerleader, which is nice.

- STRATEGY TEST/ Consider whether or not the design offers any real strategy or interesting tactics to the overall game.
Marginal pass. She adds a nice boost to an already competative, viable army. However she does affect the units included in the non-Mystique/Pyro/Toad(/Avalance?) portion of the army.

*Conner advances and attacks Pyro. He whiffs.
*Toad advances.
*Black Canary and Robin advance.
*Mystique advances and attacks Black Canary. She blocks.
*Oliver climbs the ladder onto the dam.

Round 2
*Oliver advances across the dam.
*Pyro advances and attacks with Living Flames. Robin, Black Canary, and Conner are all (stupidly) in a row and must defend. Robin and Conner succeed, Canary takes a wound.
*Black Canary advances up onto height and Canary Cries Pyro and Toad. They both defend. Robin advances up onto the DC side high ground space and attacks Pyro, who defends. (Conner should have attacked here, but I missed it.)
*Mystique advances and moves adjacent to Pyro. She attacks Black Canary, who defends.
*Black Canary attacks pyro, inflicting two wounds. She attacks again with Fists of Fury and takes him out. Robin takes a shot at Mystique, who blocks.
*Toad advances and Tongue Lashes Black Canary (12). Black Canary is moved to low ground and engagement with Mystique, who fails her engagement strike (2). Toad attacks Canary with his phlegm, inflicting one wound.

Round 3
*Oliver advances and attacks (5) Toad, who defends.
*Toad moves up onto height and kills Black Canary with his Plegm.

*Mystique advances and attacks Conner with height, inflicting one wound.

*Nightcrawler makes a long Bamf up onto the dam to engage Oliver.

Round 4
*Toad advances and Tongue Lashes Conner (16) into engagment with Mystique (8 ). He then takes Conner out with his Plegm.

*Oliver backs up a space and Nightcrawler fails his leaving engagment strike. Oliver attacks Nightrcawler (20) but only rolls one skull. Nightcrawler Teleport Evades (20) and moves back into engagement.
*Toad withdraws onto height and Tongue Lashes Robin (10+3) into engagment with Mystique, who fails engagement strike (2). Toad deals three wounds to Robin with his phlegm. (Toad's special was on fire this game.)

*Toad adjusts his position and fails to Tongue Lash Robin (1). His phlegm in blocked
*Oliver is pinned on the end of the bridge. He cannot move out of engagement with a single move. He attack Nightcrawler, who Evades (13).
*Nightcrawler moves back into egagment with Olvier (Teleport Evade moved him back) and attacks with his barrage, dealing two wounds.
*Oliver attacks Nightcrawler, who fails to evade (10+1) and receives two wounds.
*Mystique moves up onto height and kills robin.

Round 6
*Oliver attacks Nightcralwer (2) and deals one wound (5 for evade).
*Nightcrawler Teleport Barrages Oliver and fails to wound.
*Olvier attacks Nightcrawler (7) who evades (11+1).
*Nightcrawler moves back into engagment with Oliver and Teleport Barrages, taking him out ont he third attack.

(summary).
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Prof, Angel,Destiny, and Deadpool win, all at full health.

*Note, there was a play error in this game that wasn't caught until the end of round two. There were a few illigal shots taken at Super Skrull. The wounds from these attacks were removed from the card after realizing what happened. So basically the mutant army was penalized a few attacks (and they still rocked the house . . .).

Round 1
*Scarecrow advances and tosses his Fear Gass out into the area the Mutants will be advancing through.
*Bob advances to get a better look at the battlefield.
*Super Skrull flies up onto one of the snowey high-ground spaces.
*Deadpool advances. Mystique advances to edge of the gas cloud and takes a shot at Scarecrow, who defends.
*A couple Skrull Warriors advance and attack Deadpool, inflicting a total of one wound. Bob responsds by moving up and killing a skrull. (How can you not love this guy?!?)
*Deadpool moves up and takes two shots at Scarecrow inflicting a total of three wounds; he heals one wound. (Apparently the secont P.X activation didn't happen here for some reason . . . .)

Round 2
*Deadpool takes a shot at Scarecrow and takes him down, then takes a shot a Super Skrull, who blocks. Pyro advances to a position adjacent to Mystique.
*Skrull Warriors advance and attack Pyro with height, he blocks. The other then attacks Deadpool, who defends.
*Deadpool attacks Super Skrull twice, these wounds are removed next turn as Super Skrull wasn't engaged. Toad moves up.
*Super Skrull advances and engages Toad with height. He attacks and deals two wounds. (Angel did not have los on Toad, there was a tree in the way.)
*Toad Super Leaps back a space and Tongue Lashes Super Skrull (14), he moves him into the space between himself and Mystique, who succeeds in her Engagement Strike (16), dealing a wound. Toad then uses his Phlegm on Super Skrull, who blocks. Deadpool then moves back up onto height and attacks Super Skrull twice, dealing two wounds.
*Two Skrull Warriors advance (one was from the back) and they attacked pyro, dealing a total of three wounds.

Round 3
*Toad Super Leaps away from Super Skrull and Tongue Lashes him (19) into engagement with Pryo, and away from Prof X. Mystique fails her leaving engagment attack. Toad whiffs on his Phlegm attack against Super Skrull. Deadpool attacks Super Skrull and takes him out. He then attacks and kills a Skrull Warror.
*Dead OM.
*Mystique advances and attacks a Skrull Warrior with height, and takes him out. Toad then advances and fails to Tongue Lashe a Skrull Warrior (1). His Phlegm whiffs.
*One Skrull Warrior advances from reserves. One attacks Toad with height; Toad blocks. Another attacks Pyro who is taken out.
*Deadpool attacks a Skrull Warrior from his perch twice, taking him out on the second attack. Angel flies over the prof and carries him towards his fellow mutants, a glacier, and a tree.
*Flash uses his full (12) move to engage Toad (and avoid engagement strike). He attacks Toad with his Fists of Fury and takes him out.

Round 4
*Deadpool attacks Flash twice, whiffing both times. Mystique moves and attacks Flash, dealing one wound.
*Flash moves into engagmetn with Prof X, Mystique's Engagment Strike fails (1). He makes a normal attack, the Professor blocks and Angel moves him into a little nook where he's protected by glaciers, trees, and his fellow mutants.
*Mystique attacks Flash, who blocks. Deadpool attacks Flash, dealing one wound. Flash Speed Dodges the second attack.
*Flash attacks with four, three-die Fists of Fury attacks: Bob blocks, Bob dies, Mystique takes 1 wound, and takes 1 wound again.
*Mystique moves into Bob's former position gaurding the Prof and attacks Flash (whif). Deadpool attacks Flash who Speed Dodges and then blocks.
*Flash attacks Mystique with four 3-die Fists of Fury attacks; she takes 1 wound on the first and blocks the rest.

Round 5
*Mystique attacks Flash, who blocks. Deadpool attacks Flash twice with height. He Speed Dodges both.
*Flash makes four 3-die Fists of Fury attacks against Mystique, who bocks them all.
*Mystique attacks Flash, who Speed Dodges. Deadpool attacks Flash twice, he blocks, then Speed Dodges.
*Flash, in his rage, attacks Mystique normally and takes her down.
*Destiny advances and attempts to attack Flash; he blocks. Deadpool attacks and finally takes out Flash. He then attacks a Skrull Warrior who blocks.
*Dead OM.

Round 6
*Deadpool advances and takes out the last two Skrull Warriors.

In retrospect, Flash should have probably moved in first to take out Bob, then Deadpool. However I think this goes to show that even when Destiny does absolutely nothing, the army core she enhances is pretty strong. Destiny's real value is that she encourages you to pick the d20 Mutant Outcasts, who are really good. Destiny had no impact on this game other than in army selection. I took the d20 outcast core, and Deadpool because he was a fatty mutant with a d20 ability. The way the game played out, those d20 abilities barely came into play, but the army still won. I think the only conclusion that can be drawn from this game, is that more data is needed.

Those guys are good; and she pushes you to play them, and play up their powers so even if you don't get much out of her bonus (I don't think I'd ever expect anything from her attack, if she's in a position to make an attack, you're in trouble) you're taking risks and make decisions that you otherwise might not because the potential rewards are huge.

Pass The only problem I have with her is that she doesn’t beef up Mystique the extra bonus. But that’s not too important, especially since she still does help Mystique a bit.

Pass She’s really niche, only helping Toad and Pyro mainly, but the little boost she gives to Magneto is fun. Just got to watch future mutants with d20 rolls, just in case.

- Give a brief overview. Mystique and Jean get lucky, killing a thug and a Hired Gun. Then the mutants are utterly slaughtered. Destiny didn’t help at all, no die rolls succeeded, and she never had an order marker. I should have played Cyclops smarter, picking off the HG’s from afar instead of moving up the army. Oh well.

Units: Destiny, Cyclops, Jean, Mystique (590) Vs. Kingpin, Ventriloquist, Hired Guns, Street Thugs x2 (590)

Spoiler Alert!

R1: Mystique shoots a Hired Gun that ventured into the swamp, and Jean kills a thug. The Hired guns shoot up Cyclops for 3 wounds.
R2: HG’s grab height, and blow away Cyclops and Jean (Who failed to prevent them all from moving to height), while Kingpin snuck around the outside of the map. The HG’s take advantage of their extra 2 turns from killing Scott and Jean, and give Mystique and Destiny 4 wounds each. Then they finish off Mystique, and Kingpin makes it around the map to pummel Destiny.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Criminals won, 1 thug and 1 hired gun were dead.

- Give a brief overview. Great game! The Brotherhood started off great, with Pyro taking out a bunch of ninja, but when Mandarin had some fun, and took out the Prof, things started to go downhill. But then Magneto showed up Mandarin, killing him, and wreaking havoc. It came down to a wounded Elektra and Shadow Thief versus Destiny. But even with her deadly crossbow, she still can get at the most 2 or 3 skulls, which Elektra shrugged off.
Map: Ticalla Sunrise
Units: Destiny, Prof. X, Toad, Pyro, Mystique, Magneto (965) Vs. Mandarin, Elektra, Bullseye, Shadow Thief, Hand Ninja x3 (950)

Spoiler Alert!

R1: Magneto moves up the Prof and Toad. Some ninja move, and Magento utilizes the Prof to throw Pyro forward, who then blasts the assassins’ start zone, killing 3 ninja. Mandarin moves, misses, Pyro kills another ninja. Prof protects Toad from Bullseye, and a ninja on height kills Pyro in one hit! There’s revenge for ya!
R2: Mystique engages a ninja, shoots Mandarin for a wound. Magneto wounds Bullseye, kills a ninja. Mandarin throws Prof off of his height, and shoots him for 2 wounds, and also giving Toad and Bullseye a wound. Magneto hits Mandarin for a wound. Mandarin attacks the Prof, killing him, then throws Magneto, but missing his energy blast. Prof loses his turn, and Man flies to height, and punches Toad to death, but missing his Energy blast after.
R3: Mandarin misses Magneto, and shoots Destiny for 2 wounds. Magneto kills Mandarin with his normal attack. Mandarin loses his turn, and Magneto kills Bullseye. Elektra engages Mystique, takes an engagement wound, but gives Mystique a wound also. The ninja that was adjacent to Mystique runs off, and 2 others fail to hit Magneto. Mystique shoots a ninja.
R4: Elektra misses Mystique; a ninja gives Magneto 2 wounds. Magneto kills 2 ninja, and Elektra engages Magneto, dealing a wound to him. A ninja deals 3 wounds to Mystique, Magneto givers Elektra 2 wounds. Shadow Thief poofs with his whatchamacallit. Mystique Shoots the last ninja.
R5: Magneto throws Elektra, but fails to wound her. Elektra then misses Magneto from range. Destiny moves up. Shadow Thief poofs behind Mystique, then takes an engagement wound, but finishes her off. Destiny misses Elektra, and Elektra misses Magneto.
R6: Elektra kills Magneto and hits Destiny with her SA. Then Elektra chases Destiny around. Destiny deals no wounds to Elektra, and Elektra finishes her off in R7.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? The Assassins won, Elektra had 3 wounds, and Shadow Thief, 1.

I like Destiny. Cheaper mutants are fun! She’s extremely niche, only good with mutants, and her full potential is only realized with Toad and Pyro, which doesn’t exactly strike fear into anybody’s hearts. Avalanche might have synergy with her, but I don’t know.
She’s best with Magneto in my opinion, who rolls the d20 four times in a turn. She helped him out a bit in the second game, but she wasn’t a game breaker, which is good for a 55 pointer!
