Any figure besides The Crow with the Crow Marker on its card rolls one fewer defense die.

DOUBLE ATTACK
When The Crow attacks, he may attack one additional time.

LIVE FOR VENGEANCE
While your Crow marker is on another Army Card, The Crow will not take any wounds. If the figure with your Crow marker on its card receives 1 or more wounds from an attacking figure, after that figure’s turn, place your Crow marker on this card. While your Crow marker is on this card and The Crow receives 1 or more wounds from an opponent’s attack, roll the 20-sided die. On a 1-4, remove your Crow marker from the game.

Like this? I think he's a good bit more powerful than Punisher right now. Not sure that's good or bad. Anyone else know the character and like where he probably is at?

I'd rather him choose a figure to start the marker on. Also, shouldn't the figure be a Unique or Event Hero?

That figure wouldn't necessarily be guilty, though, like with Ghost Rider. I'll make the Unique/Event change.

You know what I mean, we did the same thing for GR. Any reason to do so or just personal preference?

Yes, it's a preference but I also think he should have it so he doesn't die right off the bat. Ghost Rider is a bit tougher.

I think that's a good mechanical point and doesn't hurt the design thematically (if he's on the battlefield it's because one of the opponent's figures is guilty).

Agreed. He's considerably worse than Punisher right now. Punisher has a lot of offensive potential, which drives his cost. The Crow can easily be targeted to go down first, making it so that (if you never hit the 1-4 roll to remove the Crow marker from the game) the most you can do is place the Crow marker on an opponent's card once, subtracting 1 defense from them for one turn.

I am reading correctly that you'd place the Crow marker even if The Crow is destroyed first, yes?

Also, for FAQ friendliness, we should probably specify in the first power that you move the Crow marker when an opponent's Unique Hero or Event Hero destroys a figure you control with a normal or special attack. (Otherwise it could be too easy to get rules lawyery as to which figure destroyed your figure, etc.).

Probably should change that to "other figure" to avoid that weirdness.

Honestly it's kind of a saving grace right now, though, in that it makes sure he gets some use out of his first power, no matter how small.

This guy is starting to feel like Ragman. Potentially he has a really effective, useful power, but it depends on your opponent playing along, and they can easily avoid doing so.

Ragman might actually make a nice pairing with him, though. As might Zsasz and Grundy.

How about this, then? I think the marker should go away when he's destroyed. Doesn't make thematic sense otherwise. With his bump to life and defense, he'll stay around a bit longer. He pairs really well with squads, so whenever they kill any of your squaddies, The Crow is invincible again.
Surrounding him with Beat Cops with make him nigh invincible (for a while), come to think of it. Also thematic, since he teams up with a cop for a bit.

Looks good! Good call on the (thematic and strategic) Cop combo. Looks ready to test, I think.

I'd pair him with at least one squad of Cops in the heavy hitters. No sense in putting him in tests where his powers don't come into play at all.
