Alright, I finally got my tests done. After the two changes they are feeling pretty good at 150-160 points. Lots of fun and interesting strategy uses with their power set.

Squad Tests
- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes
- What should be the unit's point value? They ended up splitting with the two 150 point Unique Ninja Squads so it seems as though 150 points should be too far off from the final point value here but I’m going to test them in the team & hero tests at both 150 and 160 just to see how they hold up at both point values. I’m leaning towards 160 right now though.
- Give a brief overview. The shadows power let them absorb and survive several first contacts where they were almost wiped out before even getting to attack once. The Ninjitsu power allowed them to track down and kill off the ELA even as they vanished only to reappeared elsewhere and also allowed them to get in some high ground attacks or maintain the high ground advantage on defense throughout. It also makes it easy for all Foot Clan Ninja in play to be able to engage and attack when activated near any opponent’s figures as they can move out of each others way and let each one attack from the same space on the board if needed. So both powers were pretty impactful in these tests.

TEST 1
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. A.I.M. Agents x2 (140)
Foot win initiative, AIM att. first though with ranged att. & kill 2 right away. Both lost figures return from out of the shadows (19 & 20 rolled!) on the very next turn, 3 AIM killed. AIM returns fire and kills 3 Foot with 3 att. Foot win initiative again, all 3 figures fail to return to the battle though (10, 10, & 1 rolled), lone Foot kills one AIM and retreats behind tree. AIM advances but can’t see the last Foot to att. him. Foot regains 2 members (7, 13, & 20 rolled), 1 AIM killed, 1 left. AIM att. & kills Foot. Foot rolls a 20 & a 2, gains one figure back, last AIM killed.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 3 Foot in play at end of game.
*note* Shadows power was changed after this test to once per round and 9+ from every OM reveal and 13+.
TEST 2
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. A.I.M. Agents x2 (140)
Foot won initiative, A.I.M. gets to att. first (on OM2) and takes out 2 Foot right away. Foot OM3, rolls for Shadow, 4 & 20, returns one Foot to play, Foot move & att., they roll terribly and get blocked all 3 times. A.I.M. att. blocked x3. A.I.M. wins initiative, att. & kills 1 Foot. Foot rolls for Shadows on OM1, 6 & 14, att. & gets blocked x3 again. A.I.M. att., kills 1 Foot. Foot kills their first 2 A.I.M Agents. A.I.M att., nothing. Foot takes down 2 more. Foot win initiative, could have rolled for Shadows but didn’t and they finished off the last 2 A.I.M. Agents.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 2 Foot Clan Ninja won.
TEST 3
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Man-Bat Assassins (150)
Foot win initiative, Man-Bats get to att. first, they Claw Grab 1 Foot & kill 2 in 2 att. Foot rolls for Shadows power on OM3, 18, 13, 13, then the 4 Foot take down the Man-Bat’s w/3 successful att. out of 4 attempts. 2 Man-Bat’s whiffed on 4 def. dice here.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 4 Foot Clan Ninja won.
TEST 4
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Man-Bat Assassins (150)
Foot win initiative again in this one, Man-Bats get to att. first, 2 Foot are Claw Grabbed, then 1 more Foot is killed in 2 att. Second time the Man-Bats almost wiped out the Foot on the first encounter. Foot uses Shadows power on OM3, 6, 4, 9, one Foot returned to action, they att., blocked x2, retreat into a formation that will limit the Man-Bat’s attack to just 2 from even ground. Man-Bat’s attempt to Claw Grab twice but fail, att. twice and score 2 kills.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 3 Man-Bat Assassins won.
TEST 5
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Elite League Assassins (150)
Foot Clan wins initiative, 2 ELA att. first, 1 from LG, both roll 2 skulls and get a kill. Foot rolls for Shadows on OM3, 5 & 10, one Foot returned, first att. results in a Vanish, 2nd att. blocked, 3rd att. is a miss. ELA kill 2 more Foot. Foot wins initiative, rolls for Shadows power on OM1, 15, 6, 10, returns 2 Foot to play & att., blocked, kill, Vanish. ELA att., miss, kill. Foot att., blocked, miss. ELA att., 2 kills.

TEST 6
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Elite League Assassins (150)
Foot wins initiative, this time they are careful enough to stay back out of the ELA threat range and get to att. first on OM3, kill, Vanish x3. ELA att., blocked x2. Foot wins initiative & att., miss, blocked, Vanish, kill. ELA att., kill. Foot att., Vanish x2, kill.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 3 Foot Clan Ninja won.
TEST 7
Units:Foot Clan Ninja vs. Killer Penguins, Ventriloquist (155)
Foot win initiative, Ventriloquist att. from LG w/SA, 1 kill, Penguins att. from LG w/SA, 1 kill. Foot Clan rolls for Shadows on OM3, 13 & 15, all 4 att., 1 Penguin killed, 1 miss, 1 Penguin blocked, Ventriloquist blocked. Ventriloquist att. w/SA from LG, 1 kill, Penguin att. w/SA from LG, 1 kill, Penguin att. w/SA from even ground, blocked x2, miss. Foot wins initiative, rolls for Shadows on OM1, 15 & 11, two Foot returned for the att. on a Penguin, blocked x4. Ventriloquist att. w/SA from LG, blocked, rolls a 15, Penguin att. w/SA from LG, 1 kill, Penguin att. w/SA from even ground, 1 kill. Foot move & att., kill 2 Penguins. OM2 lost. Foot move & att. Ventriloquist, 1W. Ventriloquist att. w/SA from LG, miss x2, blocked, rolls a 17. Foot wins initiative, rolls for Shadows on OM1 , 4 & 14, 1 returned to the fight, att. Ventriloquist, miss, 2W, 1W – dead.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 3 Foot Clan Ninja won. **Important to note here that the Foot managed to maintain HG on defense for almost every attack of the game.
TEST 8
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Killer Penguins, Ventriloquist (155)
After winning initiative on the opening round 7 games in a row, the Foot finally go second this time. The Penguins get the first attack in using their normal att. from even ground and kill 2 Foot. The Foot opt to roll for Shadows on OM2 as a result, 12 & 16, 2 Foot returned, this actually helps them out as the new Foot appear closer to the Penguins than the ones that were killed off and thus are able to engage for a couple of att. from HG where they were not going to be able to engage previously, 1 blocked & 1 miss (4 att. dice vs. 3 def. dice!) but both Ninja stay in place to block Ventriloquist from gaining HG on the next turn, one Foot decides to try and hide behind a tree to insure they survive to see round 2. Ventriloquist kills 1 Foot w/SA, Penguins kill off the 2 Foot they can see w/SAs. Last Foot tries to take down a Penguin but fails, ends move blocking Ventriloquist from move up should they win initiative. Foot wins initiative, rolls for Shadows, 17, 16, 17, they can’t roll attack dice in this game but they are nailing the Shadows rolls. The 4 Foot att. & kill all 3 Penguins, 1 from HG, 2 from even ground, after killing last penguin that Ninja moves into the open space and locks Ventriloquist into a stop on LG. Ventriloquist kills 1 Foot from LG w/SA. The 3 Foot deal 3Ws to Ventriloquist from HG. Ventriloquist again kills 1 Foot from LG w/SA. Last 2 Foot finish off Ventriloquist from HG.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 2 Foot Clan Ninja won. **Note this game was decided by an initiative roll. Had the Foot not won initiative in R2, they would have lost as only one Foot remained in play at that point and would most likely fallen to the 3 SA rolls from Ventriloquist and 9 SA rolls from the Penguins.
TEST 9
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Parademon Shock Troopers x2 (160)
Parademon’s win initiative and fly out. Foot att. first, block x4. Parademons att., 3 blocks & 1 miss. Foot att., kill 2 (one big def. whiff). Foot win initiative, kill 1. Parademon kills 1. 3 Foot att., kill last Parademon.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 3 Foot Clan Ninja won, never rolled for Shadows in this one.
TEST 10
Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Parademon Shock Troopers x2 (160)
Foot win initiative, Parademon then get to engage & att. first but only 2 are able to do so, 1 kill. Foot rolls for Shadows on OM3, 20, returns lost Ninja, 4 att., kill 1. Parademons att., all 3 roll 2 skulls for an auto-kill, 3 dead Ninja. Foot win initiative again here at the start of R2 with just 1 Foot still in play, roll for Shadows, 19, 5, 15, return 2, 3 att., kill 2. Lone Parademon att. & kills 1. Foot att., block x2. Parademon blocked. 2nd Foot kills off last Parademon.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? 2 Foot Clan Ninja won. *Once again this game was decided by an initiative roll with just 1 Foot still in play at the start of R2 facing 3 Parademons. Foot won initiative and brought back 2 of his buddies with Shadow power and then took down 2 Parademons that turn. Parademons had a good chance to win this one had they won initiative there.

Hero Test 1
- Does it pass, Yes or No? No, something needs to be amended to deal with single att. heroes at the end of the game not being able to kill 4 Foot Clan Ninja in one round and thus never being able to stamp them out before they can roll for Shadows again. While the Foot seem to be rolling above average for me in all my tests so far (closer to 75% return than the 60% it should be at 9+) it would still require some pretty poor d20 rolling for a single attack hero to get the upper hand.
- What should be the unit's point value? Since they can’t seem to wound him either and it was essentially a stalemate 150 doesn’t seem too far off the mark if we can just figure out a way to deal with the end of game situation.
- Give a brief overview. The Foot Clan take on a single hero with a ranged SA that has the potential to hit multiple figures.

Units: Foot Clan Ninja vs. Hawkeye (150)

Spoiler Alert!

Hawkeye wins initiative and moves up. The Foot move up without really thinking about spreading out at all and it cost them when Hawkeye moves up and uses his Trick Arrows to hit 3 Foot with one SA. He rolls 3 skulls on 3 dice and takes down 3 Ninja with his opening att. of the game. Foot roll for Shadows on OM2, 5, 9, 20, return two Foot who are now able to engage & att., block, miss, they remain engages with Hawkeye to prevent him from using his trick arrows. Hawkeye att. w/adj. normal att. & gets blocked. Foot att., 2 blocks & 1 miss. Foot win initiative, 3 att., 3 blocks. Hawkeye att. & gets blocked again. Foot att., block x3. Hawkeye kills 1 Foot. Foot roll for Shadows on OM3, 17 & 11, return two, att., 3 blocks & 1 miss. Hawkeye kills 1. Foot win initiative, 2 blocks & 1 miss. Hawkeye blocked. Foot att., 1W! Hawkeye misses. Shadows roll of 10 on OM3, 4 Foot att., 3 blocks & 1 miss. Hawkeye att., blocked.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? I’m calling this one it is really hot and this is really boring. It is also clear that Hawkeye can’t win now that he is engaged and can’t use his SA. He only manages to kill 1 or 2 per round (even though he is getting an auto skull with 3 vs 3 dice) and they can return at least enough figures into play to last until the next round and try again. The Foot can’t seem to do any damage to him either, but he will eventually whiff enough times to end the salemate.

*note* Another update to the Shadow’s power was made here, limiting it to one returned Foot per opponents figures still in play. Can still roll once for each lost Foot but will only be able to return 1 Foot per round in this hero test as a result.
Hero Test 2
- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes
- What should be the unit's point value? Not much to go on here as Merlyn missed on 2 of his 4 att. rolls and had a 3rd att. blocked, then rolled pretty poorly on def. Even when rolling better dice though I’m not sure Merlyn could win this type of match-up all that often where he is all alone and starting in his SZ vs. a fast moving melee squad of 4 figures. He needs allies around to make sure he can sit back and att. from HG to really excel. If this was an end of game simulation, Merlyn really should have started on HG already. I think we have done as much as we can to try and give single att. heroes a chance at the end of the game, but at the end of the day we fight battles featuring teams of figures so I’m going to move on to the team tests.

Foot win initiative, Merlyn gets in the first att., miss. Merlyn can’t get up to even ground with the Foot for his 2nd att. of the round, but takes 1 Foot down anyway. Foot rolls for Shadows on OM3, 19, Foot returned to play, 3 Foot att., 2W, blocked x2. Merlyn misses again. Merlyn wins initiative, att., blocked. 4 Foot att., first att. results in 3W when Merlyn whiffs on def. to a 3 skull att. (on 3 dice), dead.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? All four Foot won.

Army Test 1
- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes
- What should be the unit's point value? 150 seems in the ball park here even with the Ninja losing.
- Give a brief overview. I’m teaming the Foot up with the Hand here, and a couple of leaders, to see how they do taking on a group of fighters. Once Luke goes down the fighters could find stomping out the Foot fairly difficult to do with only single attack heroes so it will be up to them to try and take the Foot out before Luke gets dropped.

Out of the Shadows Usage: R3/T2, two rolls (2 Foot dead, 2 opponents figures in play), 3 & 20, 1 Foot returned to play. R4/T1, two rolls (2 Foot dead, 2 opponents figures in play), 3 & 16, 1 Foot returned to play.
Ninjitsu Usage: Moved up to att. an adj. figure from LG, than backed away to deny that figure and HG att. on the next turn. Att. adj. Iron Fist and then fled to try and stay alive while the Hand engaged Danny. Used to att. Luke, then retreat back to allow the Hand to move adj. and also att. Luke. Used to leave engagement with Spidey (which they were doing to prevent web sling), att. Luke, then return to engagement with Spidey.
Damage Dealt: 2W to Iron Fist when a Foot rolls 3 skulls on 3 dice and Danny only musters 1 shield on 6 dice for def. 2W to Iron Fist when a Foot rolls 2 skulls on 3 dice and Danny whiffs on def. (Danny only had 1 life left though so technically only dealing 1W here). 1W to Luke.
Damage Taken: Iron Fist Stealth Leaped adj. to 2 of the Foot and took them both out. Luke Cage kills 1 Foot. Luke takes down another Foot. Spidey & Luke both take down a Foot on the same turn to end them for good.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Luke Cage w/4W & Spidey w/1W won.

Recap: The Fighters seemed to dominate the early part of the match with the Ninja finding it difficult to land any hits with their many 3 att. die rolls. The Fighters on the other hand seemed to be taking down Ninja fairly easily, Iron Fist especially found great success by leaping into a crowd of Ninja and putting then all down at once. Mary managed to only hit Spidey for 1W with her d20 power before getting taken out. Spidey web slung her into the well and she got pounded on from HG. The Ninja seemed to make a bit of a comeback when they took down Danny Rand and then started to chip away at Luke by putting 3W on him. Luke & Spidey eventually took out the last of the Foot & Hand leaving just Kirgi to oppose them from LG. Kirgi tried to make finishing off Luke the priority to end the bonding and managed to deal 1W but Spidey kept on Web Slinging him onto LG where the two could beat on him from HG and his Undead Resilience could take the punishment. The Foot were fun to play, their ability to hit and move is pretty useful when trying to position your troops and trying to keep them alive long enough to get in the Shadows rolls.

Army Test 2
- Does it pass, Yes or No? yes
- What should be the unit's point value? This one ended up being a total route with the Titans having an advantage here, but the big loss for the Foot had little to do with the Foot themselves as they performed relatively well given the situation. 150-160 still seems viable here but now I’m leaning more towards 150 after the team tests.
- Give a brief overview. Here I’m pairing the Foot up with my Beebop and Rocksteady proxies to see how they play as an add-on squad for a couple of heroes. Having them take on a group of Teen Titans, with Nightwing’s Titan’s Go Power they shouldn’t worry too much about eliminating the Foot and not letting them hang around. As such the Foot player will need to be a bit cautious with figure placement in this one, but if Rhino and King Shark can lead the change and keep the focus on them then the Foot should be able to make an impact.

Units: Foot Clan Ninja @160, Rhino, King Shark (600) vs. Nightwing, Cyborg, Wonder-Girl, Aqualad (600)

Out of the Shadows Usage: R3/T3 rolled twice for Shadows, 2 & 13, one Foot returned to play.
Ninjitsu Usage: Their was one space adj. to Cyborg where you could att. him from HG so three Foot took turns moving in and out of that spot so each one could get in an att. from HG on Cyborg. While this was successful at landing 3W in damage, it left them all lined up for Cyborg to use his SA on all 3 of them at once, which ended up taking all out.
Damage Dealt: Dealt 1W to Wonder Girl and finished her off. Took turns attacking Cyborg from HG and the 3 Foot each dealt 1W to him for a total of 3W.
Damage Taken: Wonder Girl lassoed one and killed it from HG. Nightwing took out 1 with his SA when attacking two of them, but failed to take out the second one on his second SA att. Cyborg used his SA on the last 3 Foot from LG while not moving, rolling just 2 skulls and yet still taking all 3 of them out at one time.
Who won and how many wounds did they have?.Nightwing unwounded, Cyborg w/3Ws, & Aqua-Lad w/2W won.

Recap: Titans got off to a real good start in this one when on OM3 of R1, Nightwing uses the Go! power to have Wonder Girl lasso Rhino, then she, Cyborg, & Nightwing put 5W on him while att. from HG. It didn’t help Rhino that he didn’t roll and shields on his first 2 def. rolls, but in R2 his def. rolls were better and he did survive several more att. rolls before Cyborg eventually takes him down. This freed up Wonder Girl who lassoed King Shark into the well where she & Nightwing beat on him from HG for a quick 4W. King Shark managed to survive another round of 3 att. from Go! but couldn’t land any hits of his own to get the feeding frenzy att. bonus going until after he was out of OM’s, finally dealing 1W to Wonder Girl. The Foot jumped into action but also failed to deal any Ws. King Shark somehow survived to the next round and hit Wonder Girl for 2W but it wasn’t enough to finish her off. Another Go! activation had Cyborg finish off King Shark, then Wonder Girl & Nightwing took down 2 of the Foot. The Foot finished off Wonder Girl, costing the Titans an OM, and then took turns putting Ws on Cyborg from HG before Cyborg blasted all 3 of them with his SA to end the game. Cyborg also had to hit Aqua Lad with his SA though and ended up dealing 2W to him as well.

Any thoughts here before I propose them for public PT? Leaning towards 150 now after those team test results.

Looking for comic art and it is harder than I thought it would be. Most of the comic panels I'm finding have them sharing the panel with someone else, either an opponent or ally. Trying to find art that matches the figures we are using too. Might have to settle for something less than perfect here. This is what I have found that I think could work.
