Pennywise
Quote:
ITs primary goal is to feed on humans, generally preferring children over adults since they were easier to scare and manipulate. According to the creature, frightened flesh tastes better and uses fear to "salt the meat". Resources and Rulings • The suggested figure for this unit is a modified Heroclix figure: Captain America and the Avengers & Deadpool and X-Force #045 / Baron Zemo & #021b / Slapstick • See this card's wiki page for synergies and strategies! Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
= lateral
- nerf + buff =Ditching the Haunted Balloon Item and instead putting the simplified/tweaked effects of it on Pennywise's card as Haunting Curse. (IT curses the town, and it represents the broader scare tactics/effects IT uses, including balloons etc.) -Move from 6 to 5. +Gains Flying instead. +Range from 1 to 3. -Inorganics immunity to Deadlights Overall, a slight buff. |

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
I do miss the Balloons.
Theme-wise, do we need the Inorganic callouts? Obviously theme-wise he likes to eat Humans, but nothing on the card really has to do with eating. Is there any evidence that his tricks wouldn't work on robots or ghosts or whatever? |

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
IT feeds off fear. That's the theme behind the IT ability, is Pennywise is playing/seasoning the food. "Sweet delicious fear"
I don't think an inorganic being would be able to have fear. As for the Deadlights, some insight: Quote:

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
We've definitely treated Inorganics as being able to feel fear. (Leatherface is an example) We could definitely argue that what robots or ghosts feel is some form of "simulated fear" though, and that Pennywise wouldn't feed off of it or care about it. Whatever you think fits!

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
If we get C3PO, he'd have like the opposite of Fearless XD
Also I saw FLYING in red bold and the thought of Pennywise flying around is horrifying, not mechanically, but just regularly horrifying. |

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
I like the simplifying here cutting the Balloon personally. I think that's a clean change there. Rest looks fine. I do have a question about the Range. Not knowing the source material very well what's the reason he didn't have range in 1.0 but does now?
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
It is a shapeshifter. In the book it becomes a lot of things that could justifiably have range - a swarm of bugs, a giant bird, a huge spider, a big Paul Bunyan statue with an axe, etc. Anywhere from 1-3 range is probably justifiable for it.
Tough to say on the Inorganic question because it only ever messed with Humans. |

Re: Pennywise - Design/Review
FYI, Iron Giant used WB for Publisher instead of spelling out Warner Bros.
