The best movie endings - spoilers ahoy!

I loved the ending on District 9, where... No I'm just messing with you guys. One of my favorite endings is Akira, where Tetsuo loses control and turns into a giant blob of organs and such and then Akira comes and takes him away, but then at the end you here a voice state "I am... Tetsuo." So It would suggest that he's alive and might come back later.

American Beauty - Very powerful ending.

Training Day - I certainly didn't see the setup coming, going back I should have seen it. But him driving down the road, knowing he is a dead man, and then the van driving up next to him.

I am Legend - Didn't expect Will Smiths character to die.

The whole Memento Movie threw me for a loop, not just the ending/beginning. Which is why it is still to date one of my all time favorite movies!

I imagine I would feel that way about Fight Club if I hadn't read the book first.

I agree with Memento and did anybody mention Dr. Strangelove? I think those are two of the best endings ever made.

While an old film, The Sting(one of my personal favorites) has a great ending.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but having watched Saving Private Ryan for the second time of my life yesterday, I grasped it even moreso. A great movie, and an astounding, well fitting ending.

Also, has nobody mentioned the ending for "Inside Man"? Simply chilling.

I liked the ending to Mars Attacks. I think it is absolutely hilarious that the world was saved by bad music.

I didnt read the whole thread, but I would have to say the 'Usual Suspects' had a great ending.
