Re: The Book of Outer Space Terrain - Public Playtesting
Sweet! Sounds like you ended up at the same point as I did: really enjoying where these rules ended up! I feel like they both have a huge and thematic impact on the game without feeling overpowering, confusing, or gamebreaking. I'm really happy with how they felt in gameplay and seems like your results reflect mine!
Thanks for the tests. I look forward to seeing some of the creative map builds and uses folks come up with for this stuff. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Oh yeah!! The gameplay was super fun and simple. I can't wait to see where this goes with the possibility of Meteors and all kinds of stuff.

Yeah, trying to stay as elegant with those is going to be a challenge.

Re: The Book of Outer Space Terrain - Public Playtesting
Did either of you play with the knock back rules? I don't usually use them, but reading that report made me think they might be more significant in outer space.

Re: The Book of Outer Space Terrain - Public Playtesting
Being able to knock someone into space (or throw them with whatever powers) does seem significant, yeah.

Re: The Book of Outer Space Terrain - Public Playtesting
Yeah, might try some throwers out like Jean Grey or Magneto. Haven't settled on the armies yet for my second game. First one is going to be Annihilus + Invaders vs. GotG. Or maybe I should try out a game with the Cosmic Cube floating around since it can wound someone on one turn, then move them into space on the next one.

Re: The Book of Outer Space Terrain - Public Playtesting
Yeah, I used the knockback rules for my test. It was awesome.

Re: The Book of Outer Space Terrain - Public Playtesting
I think any sort of drift thing is complex enough that it should be in the realm of scenario/map rule add on. I'm liking the rules as nice and easy to understand and implement, which is how terrain rules usually are (water, lava, heavy snow, slippery ice, shadow, etc. are all very streamlined rules sets).
Holding on Yodaking's tests, then hopefully we will be good to move forward here! C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
