Part of my thinking here as well is that whatever we do here is going to be the same on Wonder Woman I when we translate her, and that's a lasso you very much want to escape from.

The Wonder Woman connection is more important here I think. If she's lassoing someone and they try to get away they may avoid a wound but she should still get a chance to hold on to them.

Though technically if she's negating their powers they can't avoid the wound there.
Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

I believe in 2.0 we were thinking of making her negation happen only during her activation, so it could be a lot more relevant than in 1.0.

Luckily this is addressed in the rulebook:

Quote:
Immediately before a figure would leave engagement, swipes come into play. The figure leaving the engagement is still considered to be on the space adjacent to the figure attempting the swipe while the swipe attempt occurs. Only after the swipe attempt can the figure move fully out of engagement and continue its move action.

I'm on board with still rolling the skull to stop movement, even if they ignore the wound they should still be able to lock the figure in place.
