Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase

His durability doesn't seem that bad to me, especially considering he's a practically unkillable character anyway. I'm assuming you can get the theme now, so if you have any suggestions, I'm up for it. Personally I'm not seeing any problem other than he's hard to take out, which he should be. |

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
I think it should be Unique or Event for placing the crow marker.
Also, you could introduce the marker like this: SET THE WRONG THINGS RIGHT At the start of the game, choose a Unique or Event Hero and place the crow marker on that figure's card. The Crow rolls one additional attack die against the figure with the Crow marker on its card. Whenever one of your figures is destroyed by an opponent’s Unique or Event Hero and the Crow Marker is on this card, you may place the Crow marker on the card of that opponent’s figure. Also, should The Crow be an Event Hero? |

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
If he can take limitless wounds and not be destroyed until those certain circumstances are met, I would say yes he should be an Event Hero.
Or maybe he shouldn't be that hard to destroy. |

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
I believe we have a "bingo."
This guy just doesn't seem like he would be fun to play against. Also, could Zatanna instant kill him by removing his Crow Marker from play? There's a lot about the mechanics I just don't understand here .... I'd rather see something where the presence of the Crow Marker prevents him from taking more than one wound from a single attack (ala Magical Defense). Also, what's the point of removing all of his wounds right before he's destroyed? That seems like some unnecessary extra mechanics without any game impact, unless I'm missing something. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Ugh, my brain is still fried from Manchester. I'll sleep on it. I like the mechanics. Didn't think he was that powerful, especially with his base stats. I dunno, I'm tired. |

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
Remember, destroying a figure in the game isn't killing them. It's just taking them out of the battle.

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
Considering his only "power" is immortality, I'd like to represent that best I can.

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
I think we could probably go down that same road just tweak the likelihood. Increase the odds of his death.

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
Here's a slight touch that makes him a bit more vulnerable. He can't take wounds while his crow marker is on anther army card but while it's on his card, he can. If a 1-4 is rolled, the marker still leaves the game but he can take wounds before that if the marker is on his card. I also changed it to "your crow marker" in case there is more than 1 The Crow in play.

Re: The Book of The Crow ~~ Design Phase
In that version, Zatanna doesn't make him invincible because the marker isn't on another Army Card.
