You know, you could always go outside, find some rocks, and set them on your map.
(You know, outdoors? That place where there isn't a roof over your head? Remember?) |

In response to sachsen, long ago I did in fact actually go "outside" and select rocks for my models.Especially the mountainous terrain. But there ended up being 1 problem that needed to be rectified.....When I wanted to bring them anywhere,or store them in say a tote, the thing would weigh like......well,let's just say,way too much,LOL I totally feel what your saying, nothing more realistic than the real thing. And they do look nice on a board. But as I tried to get rid of the heavy aspect of it I started looking to a more lighter material.I personally have used left over siding insulation, which is basically condensed foam.(can buy it at any home depot) I didn't like the fact that it had way too much of a crisp edge, hence me moving on to just regular styrofoam. It glues nice, paints well, and if I'm bored with it,It can be recycled.Actually,I'm starting a cave project now do to all the talk about it in the forums. Here is my case for heavyness,it would require way too many rocks.I know you were jokin' around, but I felt the need to explain trial and error.I'm sure we've all used real rocks at one time or another.......LOL Besides,it's nice to go outside once in a while.
P.S. The little round marker that looks like a bat could be some kind of a glyph marker,to make it easier to show who poses it? Like as in a collect brandar glyph scenarios or something? "There is no I in TEAM,but there is in SHOWTIME" |

D Dyzzle had some very realistic rock customs, though I don't remember where the thread is at.

in response to the speculation about the spider/scoripion beast on ebay, it was actually a bramble beast and its name on the custom card was Abraxas, i'm not sure if its from D&D or what else. i remember lookin at it like a yr. ago on eBay, it was really neat. The little marker thing actually has a picture of a tornado on it, Abraxas had some kind of sand storm like attack and also an impale special attack, the species was like impaler or something.
just thought u all would like to know + dragon = kick butt |
