Everyone moves up round 1. Jeice wounds Krillin, while Android 18 puts 2 wounds on Recoome.

Yamcha wounds Recoome. The Ginyus take out Yamcha and Krillin by using most of Jeice’s reroll markers. Piccolo takes out Recoome and wounds Burter. Ginyu puts 2 wounds on Piccolo. Android 18 wounds Burter and breaks his arm. Ginyus bring Piccolo up to 4 wounds. Tien goes for his normal attack and wounds Burter. Piccolo heals 1 wound.

The Ginyus take out Piccolo. 18 kills Burter. Ginyu puts 2 wounds on Tien. Ginyus put 3 wounds on 18. Tien kills Guldo with his normal attack.

Ginyus kill 18. Tien goes for a Neo Tri-Beam and wounds Ginyu twice but it kills himself to do it.

Nightcrawler is a massive help to moving Cyclops’ team up in a group. Marvel Girl gets placed on height and shuts down the Challengers, stopping Shining Gundam in its tracks and throwing Krillin to low ground. Krillin also takes 3 wounds. Jean takes 2 wounds from Krillin.

Tien uses Neo Tri-Beam to kill Jean and wound Cyclops, and takes 0 wounds in return. Cyclops uses Optic Destruction to put 3 wounds on Tien. Storm kills Tien and wounds Shining Gundam. Shining Gundam wounds and kills Cyclops with Shining Finger (lost OM3). Shining puts 4 wounds on Storm.

Nightcrawler kills Krillin. Lots of dice are chucked around as the X-Men try to kill Shining Gundam. Shining kills Storm. Shining takes out the remaining X-Men, they just don’t have an answer for a heavy hitter like him.

Winter Soldier shoots Gohan, who beam struggles and loses, leading Gohan to take 3 wounds. Goku inflicts massive damage on Winter Soldier, Cap, and Rick, but can’t kill any of them. Thor swoops in and kills Goku with a combination of autowounds and a big normal attack. Tien saves Goku’s OM3. Tien uses Neo Tri-Beam to kill Winter Soldier (1 wound) but takes 3 wounds in return. Thor swoops in to kill Tien. Gohan kills Rick.

Yamcha and Krillin get a few wounds onto Thor before Thor kills Yamcha. Thor kills off Krillin and Gohan.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Tien is fun. Neo Tri-Beam is quite swingy and the downside is costly, but the near-guaranteed autowounds can cinch the kill on a difficult target. Still, it is difficult to use since it costs the move through attack phases, you have to ensure Tien’s in the right spot.

Crane School Patience is handy. Not something that came up every game, but it saved an OM in the third game and makes placing “risky” OMs risk-free. You do have to risk losing initiative for it though, which is useful for Yamcha but sometimes a downside.

I like 180 points for thematic team building a lot better so that will be a target for me. If he comes in weak I’m thinking we could bump his Life up to 5. But I think 180 is pretty close as-is.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Tien went 1 and 1, with the win being by a good sized margin. Part of the big win had to do with going against a weaker team as I was trying something out. The loss was pretty close. Tien has 3 solid abilities, his first being situationally useful. The other 2 I found to be strong, although the potential self wounding of his Tri Beam can make it risky to use in some spots. All and all a pretty good 180 point figure and another option in what is turning out to be a really strong DBZ group. No changes recommended.
