Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
I think I always misplayed this thing as destroying itself upon "injection." Repeatedly healing 4 wounds seems like a big deal?
Swapped the auto-destruction downside to 4 wounds, which feels like a cool mirror but I also think it's what we want to do with most auto-destruction stuff anyways. |

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Great timing, we played this yesterday on TTS. Superman got lucky with it, Omni-Man not so much.
We all discussed then how it was weird it sticks around after being used. I think making it a one-time use makes sense both thematically and mechanically. |

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Do we need some guidelines at least on Ranks?
Probably drops as well but drop of 1 for something like this seems like a default. Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Yeah, drop of 1 seems like the right fit. Rank 2 also feels okay if we only have 3 ranks. It's certainly better than a rank 1, but the potential downside and the fact it's easy to knock out of your hands and into your opponents keeps it from being a rank 3.
Agree with the once per game limit. Love the blurb! |

I agree with making this single use. Given how swingy it is and the huge downside potential, (even with the tweak), this is a Rank 1 to me. I know I posted ideas for drop numbers somewhere, but basically it was like: held in hand is drop 1, worn on body is drop 2, something we for some reason want to make really hard to drop is drop 3. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Could we switch the name of this to Compound V? It already fits what Compound V does in the comics and it feels cool to make it an actual comic book thing.
Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Is Compound V mostly used for healing?

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Its mostly used to supe up supers, so insta-heal makes sense, but also can make normal people into a super too. Good point.

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
Yeah I think that would miss out on some of the theme of Compound V.

Re: Experimental Medicine (Design/Review)
I think the rank has to be based on how competitive it is for the pools to be useful.
